Re: Lum Tanto non sprint?
I'm also surprised there isn't demand for tantos. I deeply desire one with a compression lock. The natural g10 doesn't appeal to me, nor does the liner lock. Serious question: What is the appeal in the tanto design? When I look I see an awkward design that has corner snag built into the cutting edg...

Re: Lum Tanto non sprint?
Thanks for the fast reply Sal. That’s strange to hear. I always thought they would be a big seller like Emerson’s CQC7.
Just wishful thinking then....
Glad I got my sprint run version.

Lum Tanto non sprint?
I fairly new to the forum, but in the last few years have become a loyal Spyderco customer. I’ve bought and sold a lot of knives and Spyderco is hands down my favorite brand. The Lum Tanto BladeHQ has shown me there’s high demand for a Lum Tanto. I bought one just for the design and blade, not so mu...

Won’t be buying a Seki City knife again....
I place the blame on using a them and not Golden or Taiwan. I didnt even pay attention to where it was manufactured until I received it, but like others I’m a little disappointed in this one.

Re: PPT CF Sprint - liner material?
Just snagged one from River’s Edge. Seems like there hasn’t been as much love for this like the other recent sprints. I’ll take this a Para 3 sprint or Manix all day. Sculpted carbon feels great. Blade looks like a good combo of utility and self defense. Looks like Tashi Bharucha was influenced by t...

I managed to get one. I don’t get why some guys thought this would be around for days. This model isn’t even available in other forms like the PM2 or Manix sprints.

Re: Official Sliverax Discussion Thread
For whatever reason the Sliverax didn’t appeal to me when it was first released, but I finally decided to get one a few weeks ago and it hasn’t left my pocket. Perfect ergonomics and size for a “gentleman’s” EDC. The carbon fiber is very nice and grippy and my flips reasonably well. I wasn’t expecti...

Re: Spyderco Paysan
I'm a bit surprised by the price, too. I thought I heard Eric say this one would be a little cheaper than the Nirvana since it doesn't sport the wrap-around handle engraving. While I can understand these are not cheap to manufacture, I think that once you cross the $500 threshold, saving a little m...

Re: Spyderco Paysan
I’m still gonna buy this one. The argument for mid techs and customs doesn’t work for me. I’ve handled some garbage mid techs and customs. I trust Spyderco to make a quality product and back it up.

This is a must buy for me, very cool story about the design process. Gunda, how did you get your design to Spyderco and what was it like working with them?

Re: Spyderco Shaman News and Gossip Thread
I had to adjust the pivot for a few days, just making the tiniest movements back and forth until i was able to get it to fall almost shut and have no blade play. When i first got it it would barely fall halfway when I’d release the compression lock. This was my first Spyderco to have this issue. I a...
