Re: Community Sharpening Journal
the New Work Sharp.. I am wondering how much they will be charging for it.. I have the KME, and TSPROF Blitz PRo and the TSPROF Kadet Pro.. As well as the Work Sharp Precision.. So far, I have had great results with KME and the TSPROFS.. but a friend of mine is picking on me and trying to convince m...

Re: Edited: Adventures of the OKCA show!
I am late to this thread. But It was a pleasure to meet Erick and his son and to see the OKCA show for the first time. Deadboxhero, I accidently bumped into you and I apologize for not saying hello.. you were one of the YouTubers who inspired me to get into the hobby of collecting. I really enjoyed ...

A simple decision. 15V and the future
First off.. I wish to say that I LOVE my 15V Manix 2! It has exceeded my expectations and has become a lovable tool for me. I feel that I made the right decision to acquire one from a fantastic dealer and was able to buy one at very near retail MSRP for it. I have really fallen in love with it and h...

I use to carry the Manix 2 Lightweight Models..
But I find myself using Native 5 Lightweight and Bryd Raven 2 and Crow 2 more often now

Re: yet another "price increase"
I am an Amazon Associate in a fulfillment facility and I work in ICQA/Count track. I count items in the storage bins to verify the number of items available. I can not describe the excitement I feel when I have a Amazon Pod come in front of me and it contains Spyderco or Byrd knives... I always take...

Re: Migration to smaller knives....didn't realize
All that said, I think for day-in and day-out tasks, aka EDC, smaller thinner knives still win the day for a lot of people. I think many of us like thinner blades for the slicing as that is so much of what we do with our EDC. I like handy, smaller blade for a lot of reasons, but sadly, these days, ...

Re: Para 3 Maxamet
I also would really love to see a G10 Manix in Maxamet. Wow.. you had me drooling there.. I am thinking of buying the S110V Manix G-10... but it was offered in Maxamet.. I would hold off and buy it instead! You won’t be disappointed with the S110V. Well I have a S110V Manix2 LW on order now.. so it...

Re: S110v help
I can get a really nice sharp toothy edge on my Manix 2 LW S110v using a 600 grit CBN stone which is much harder than the steel almost as hard as diamond. CBN will cut every carbide that you will ever find in any blade even Maxamet and Rex 121. You only need a light touch to bring the edge up very ...

Re: Sharpness testing
Generally, I use a Razer Edge tester that I have. But the other night I had a friends PM2 on my KME and went to town on it to get rid of some obvious chips that he had managed to put into the bade. I had it cutting paper by barely swiping the edge down through the middle of the page. But I am a left...

Re: Manix 2 - Maxamet, new to me review.
1st knife for me of 2018... I LOVE IT. So much that I even decided to drop funds on a Native 5 LW in Maxamet in the same week...
But I prefer my Manix 2LW in the steel!
I am hoping they come back with the PM2 in it after re-visiting the grind.

Re: Hey Sal, any plans for CTS BD1N?
We'll probably slowly convert from BD1 to BD1N. I would not put it on a level of S90 though. sal Ohhhhhhhh I would like to chime into this idea a little. Byrd Raven 2, Byrd Crow 2, and Manix 2Lw go to CTS BD1N.. please? How about also updating the Efficient from 8Cr13MoV to CTS BD1N too? OMG.. the ...

Re: First Knife of 2018
I started off my 2018 by buying my Manix 2 Lightweight in Maxamet.. and three weeks later I found an opportunity to buy a Native 5 Lightweight in the same steel..
Love it...
Now.. I have plans to buy Lil Native and possibly a Para 3 before the end of the year

Re: Knife lubricant
So far.. I have been using Weapon Shield gun lubricant with good results.
It also is supposed to be "edible" but not flavored like Frog Lube.. but it has more of a cinnamon smell.. but my blades operate very well on it and it does not "gum" up

Re: I wish Spyderco would make...
I would actually like to see Spyderco re-visit the Efficient. Yes, I know its a Spyderco value line blade that is made in China. But aside of the 8Cr13MoV blade.. I really enjoy this knife and have it in my regular rotation. I would love to see a higher end steel and maybe an improvement on the wash...
