Re: K390 Caly?

Not 100% sure what Sal's cryptic message means - yes on K390 Caly, yes on having K390 in Golden.

Can we please combine these two to mean Golden made Caly 3.5 with K390!!!! Or Caly 3.

Re: Think I am boycotting Knife Center

... Fanboyism seem to fade with time. New folks are excited, ready to chime in about anything, replying to everything. To some extent, I was there; based on your posts, so were you. I find that there are three types of threads and posters - informative, entertaining, and useless/annoying. I can usu...

Yes, 3 is wonderful. Yes, ready for a new 3.5. LW would be very interesting.

Re: Mantra Detent Ball

Hmm. Well, taking it out into rotation today, and I guess I know what I am doing this evening. I don't feel the detent is weak on mine. I am not able to shake the blade out, even with an abrupt stop in momentum. It will be interesting to see the shape of the ball. On the other hand, I know the washe...

Re: Changes to the Chaparral CF - Exposed Screws

What's interesting, bunch of pictures of this knife, including the Kristy's link, don't have screws on either side of the lock bar. How is that possible? Simple, it still has all the same screws, but the lockbar pivot and forward backspacer screw are hidden under the scales rather than exposed. I f...

Re: Confession

Nothing to confess from my end. All my PM2 (1/2 dozen of them) see more use than any other knife. Ergonomics not working for you, lock or blade preference, that's understood. But dumping on it because of its popularity, that I don't get. I kinda get the wanting to be part of an exclusive club. But w...

Re: Favorite 2018 Sprint

Picked up a few PM2s, so out of those the CRUWEAR. But that's too easy. Every PM2 is a favorite.

Aside from a PM2, it would have to be the Native.

Re: Dull Paramilitary 2

In terms of a knife comming in dull, it happens. It happened to me twice - PM2 Maxamet, and Police 4. Both were brand new, as I was the first to get them when they were released. In other words, I did not get returned knives. Not sure what causes it. Something gets missed during the process. Maybe a...

Re: Sage 5 or Para3 LW?

I don't own a Sage. Came real close when Sage 2 was priced nicely while being discontinued.

I handled the Sage 5 at SFO. I own a regular Para 3, and the ergos work better for me over the Sage. Definitelly getting a Para 3 LW.

1. Anything knocking the PM2 from my top spot. It has been tried number of times with various different modelsl and brands in this size.
2. Quantum entanglement > speed of light

Re: Polishing Washers

I agree with bloke about more to getting a nice smooth action than washers. I take all my knives apart, so I dealt with a few minor issues. Burs on liners and thread locker in places where it shouldn't be, to name a couple. But I always put the washers on an ultra-fine stone. I don't polish them to ...
