Re: If you could build your ideal Spyderco....

Mine would be a Gayle Bradley 2 style knife with the blade in LC200N and a Compression lock. The Bradley 2 blade has been one of the best all around blades profiles I have ever had. It slices, is tough at the tip and with the scales, slim in the pocket. I love the M4, but for what I do, the LC200N ...

Re: Sprig question

The sprig isn't really a heavy duty camp knife. That being said it excels at what it was designed for: cleaning fish and small game. When I'm not using it for fishing it lives in my kitchen and get's a fair amount of use. I can't recommend it for general garage chores and whittling as the edge is th...

I'm going to use mine for sure. One of my self imposed rules is I must carry it from time to time and at least do some basic knife tasks with it.

So this means they are shipping and dealers should start having them in soon? I have on on pre-order for months now.

Re: Uh oh nutnfancy spreading misinformation...

I've been beating on a Salt H1 for a couple years including sailing, paddle boarding, fishing, hiking and cycling. It's spend days in my PFD around a sea environment. No rust. I don't baby it at all and the only care I give it is a fresh water rinse and a little pivot oil. I'm not a Nutnfancy fan bu...

Re: Fishing Fixed Blades

, I am eager to see something like that. My choice would be Lc200n in a 4-4.5" blade with a fairly narrow blade profile and a prominent finger guard. Something that would make a capable utility/bait knife on the water but still be optimized for removing fillets. Yes, this please. I recently go...

Re: Spyderco Amsterdam Meet 2017 Report

Is the screwdriver tip looking tool a glass breaker? No, it's steel. In fact, in my opinion, glass breakers need to be carbide especially of you are breaking tempered or safety glass. sal I can see a three blade rescue being standard kit for my truck. Especially if it had a glass breaker. Not somet...

Spyderco does offer the fixed blade Sprig. I've been eyeing it for sometime but haven't pulled the trigger. I'm not sure it would suit your friend though. It's pricey.

Re: Gayle Bradley Advocate First Impressions?

Mine is being sent in to warranty this morning. The blade is no longer centered and there is considerable side to side play when locked open. I was never impressed with the action but didn't hate it either. There is so much to love about this knife. The ergos? Amazing. The fit and finis and how it r...

It hits a lot of marks for me personally. I prefer liner/frame locks and I have a love for carbon fiber. I also appreciate that it's very light. It's the perfect office carry. It was a knife for me that when I got it I knew instantly that I would never get rid of it and carry it on a regular basis.

I got real nervous reading this thread and I've also been binge watching the Walking Dead. So now I'm the proud owner of a Euroedge. I'm going to make a life size replica of a walker's head to practice on.

Seriously, I did just get one and I think Rick would approve.

It's a toss up between the Slysz Bowie for EDC and a SAGE 1 for office EDC.
