Got one and going to do some scale swapping...red scales going on DLC 52100, grey scales going on CRUWEAR (my hard user Manix) and CF from CRUWEAR M2 going on 20CV!
Post pics! Those will all look great in the new configuration.
You got it!

Yes, please! This idea would be awesome...especially with titanium handle scales with some sort of crazy grippy milled pattern perhaps?

Re: Guys who put lanyards on your knives, why?

I only ever use one if I find that it is functionally necessary...and when it is, I try to make it look nice. I use one for added grip area on smaller knives such as my Ladybug...a 2 finger grip can easily become a 4 finger grip with the proper knot(s). On my Slysz Bowie...it makes it so it's easier...

Re: Is the Smock still coming in 2018?

We should have it in-house. The question is whether or not it will get through QC and packaging. sal Give me a job in your QC department and I'll move my family out to CO! ;) I'm a gemologist by trade and have a keen eye for detail... Really looking forward to the Smock...the F&F from the 2 Taichun...

Re: What was your first Spyderco?

I had another one for a couple of years that I bought from a little ski shop in upstate NY or Vermont...we were young and “having fun” so it’s hard to pinpoint exactly where I was ;) This was the replacement as soon as I realized that I lost the one I had. I carried one of these for around 5 years s...

Most people would probably die after having there knife look like this! This chipping, and damage was after accidentally cutting a steel strap. https://preview.ibb.co/efu5AA/2295-D7-DD-4618-481-A-AC6-D-161-E886-E8-C7-C.jpg https://preview.ibb.co/ihGDxq/DB74-E693-A722-4911-B3-AD-844-F237-CB83-C.jpg ...

Re: Models That Absolutely DESERVE Sprint Runs

Centofante 3 with dark green g10 and Sage 5 w/titanium scales. I'd actually love to see some of that copper infused marbled CF (not sure what it's called) on any upcoming sprint!

Re: Why do you carry a knife?

I replied to cut things but the reality is I've loved knives as far back as I can remember and don't really know why. I literally got sent home from school the very first-day of the 1st grade for taking an old camper's knife, which my pops had given me, to school to use during lunch. It had a blade,...

Re: V-TOKU2 endura and hap40 wharncliffe delica have dropped!

Hey one more thought for you about the KME. I'm not sure where you are clamping the knife, but if at all possible on full flat grinds clamp the ricasso near the handle. It's flatter and helps with keeping the blade centered in the clamp so you don't get two different angles when you flip it over. T...

Re: V-TOKU2 endura and hap40 wharncliffe delica have dropped!

I'll post some pictures of mine later. I think mines got a slight curve in the blade near the tip(you'd need a laser to see it). The lam line is very close to the edge on one side and very wide on the other. I'm curious to see how it is when I sharpen it. My expectation is using my guided rod syste...

Re: V-TOKU2 endura and hap40 wharncliffe delica have dropped!

It is up to you if it is acceptable. I have about 10 Spydies with laminated blades and none of them have even lamination lines. It is what it is. As long as the laminate doesn’t touch the edge I don’t sweat it. These are meant to be users. I’m not concerned about the aesthetics at all...my concern ...
