Re: Please Pardon the shameful sales pitch - Rock Jumper
To me, this is the best new design to come out since the P4LW. I've been looking for an FRN alternative to my Yojimbo, yet something about the Delica just doesn't feel right. I really love the idea of the blade extending all the way to the handle on the Caribbean, but I find the knife too bulky, I'v...

Re: Anyone else Aeropress coffee?
As someone who is fully involved in the coffee industry, owns shops, travel to plantations, etc. IMO the Aeropress is a gimmicky, over marketed piece of garbage. The only advantage I can see from it is less paper waste. The world of coffee gear is, for the most part, a massive scam. The whole indust...

Re: Affordable fixed blade (AFK)
I'd like to see something like that, too. I was recently in the market for a versatile outdoors fixed blade, but nothing in the Spyderco catalog could really compete with ESEE, Fallkniven, Mora, etc. That being said, if the only way to offer such a model in a more affordable package is to have it ma...

Re: Police 4 Lightweight Observations
It really is a great knife. For a long time I've wanted to buy the G10 version, but non-stainless folders are just too troublesome for me. I'm still hoping for a re-release in stainless at some point in the future. The Police 4 virtually fixes everything that bothered me with the Military; the huge ...

Maybe you need a break from knives?
What stands out most from your post is that the best part of this journey really came from the people, not the consumerism.

Re: AEB-L Urban Performance Reviews
Enjoying the debate, but really wish the "steel X was originally designed for purpose Y" argument would go away. You can't possible make a weaker case against the use of a specific steel in knife blades. The vast majority of steels were designed for other purposes, yet we still find pleasu...

Re: Shot Show 2019
Spyderco is really killing it with the fixed blades this year. I'm glad they're giving so much attention to a segment of the market that often feels neglected, especially seeing how all models are so different from each other with very specific uses in mind. I'm also very excited for the SE wharncli...

Re: Why Don't You Like Framelocks?
I love them just the same as any other lock, as long as they are well made and suit the design of the knife in question. I think a lot more people would like framelocks if they handled a Sebenza, just as a lot more people would like backlocks if they handled a Native 5. Regarding their strength unde...

Re: What's the best Spyderco that doesn't exist?
There are more EDC choices from Spyderco than I could ever ask for, so I'll go with something more specialized. A DIR-compliant dive knife. Something small, SE H1, sheepfoot, that can comfortably be worn in front of the body on the waist strap. I guess I'm pretty much describing a slimmer and thinne...

Re: 2019 Forum Calendar Contest!
I skipped the contest last year, so I'm giving it another try this year. Two years ago I said something along the lines of the PM2 being the ultimate EDC, but I've since changed my mind and went back to the Delica. I feel it's easily Spyderco's most enduring design; no matter how many other, often t...

Re: This is what I've been waiting for: Ankerson Bowie
I really, really love this design, except for the removable handles. I had issues with significant surface rust under the halpern scales of my 4V Mule following only light indoor use. This being an outdoors knife, I would expect the problem to be far worse, unless the scales offer a much better sea...

Re: Am I the only one?
I can't flick most Seki lock backs without completely shredding my nails. Besides, it requires so much concentration and weird hand contortions that it just isn't worth the time or effort in the end. On the other hand, I can flick most liner locks without issue, both in regular and reverse grip. I u...

The number of surprises in this catalog is just ridiculous! Never thought we'd get to see a Spyderco-Sinkevich collab... Glad to see the bow river is coming along as well. Super excited with just about everything in there! As usual, thanks to all involved!

Re: Spyderco Forum Name Tag - Available for Pre-Order
I think it's sweet. It's bigger than I expected, but not as big as the impression some of the pictures here gave me. Still not sure what I'm gonna do with mine, but it's a fun thing to have around, if only to remind me why Spyderco is a company like few others.

The blade on the Rescue tool is pretty great. Good length, thin, FFG; it eats through cardboard.

One of the most beautiful Delica yet. I don't get all the remarks about it being feminine.

I doubt a whole lot of people share those sentiments.

Re: Game over Canada? WW’s stops importing Spyderco.
funny they still stock lots of Chinese knives that meet the same criteria as the Spyderco. I think that there are political games being played on multiple levels here. Time to change the government. I wouldn't be surprised if this had more to do with the Chinese being willing to skirt the laws, tha...
