Re: Well, the Para 3 buggered up my plans.
Are there any soon-to-be-released Para 3 models with DLC finished blades?

I want corrosion proof knives, not just knives with corrosion proof blades.

Re: What would YOU pick for the next sprint?
Para 3, linerless. Full carbon scales to retain thinness. Wire clip would be nice (as would a PVD blade), but not a deal breaker.

Re: Spyderco Titanium BLADED knives?
HI Roger, No plans for a smaller one. You might regrind an H1 Enuff? sal Sorry, I missed this post. That might work, but the Fish Hunter has the stiletto shape for braining a noncooperative fish, and I'd hate to lose blade length on an Enuff regrind. Besides its ideal size/blade shape, my ti blade ...

Re: Where to get an original Clipit Delica?!
IIRC the Delica went through several improvements of the integrated clip all within the Gen 1 design.

Re: What I was hoping to see in the Mid-Year Supplement
I posted this in a different thread, but it fits better here. Will continue the wait. Living near the ocean and waiting for the eventual release of the Mantra with a stainless blade, I was disappointed to see the new Mantra w/ compression lock. The last thing I want to see in a blade for use in a sa...

Re: I wish Spyderco would make...
Living near the ocean and waiting for the eventual release of the Mantra with a stainless blade, I was disappointed to see the new Mantra w/ compression lock. The last thing I want to see in a blade for use in a salty environment is the simplicity of an R.I.L. lock replaced by more internal steel me...

Re: Spyderco/Phil Wilson Bow River
Yeah, it's safe to assume no production model is going to be as thin as a Phil Wilson custom. But this is only 3mm...a hair under 1/8" stock. I think I pinch tested the edge, and it felt nicely thin behind the edge. But honestly, I handled so many blades that day, they all ran together a bit! ...

Re: Spyderco Titanium BLADED knives?
I use a stiletto type ti dive knife not for cutting, but for braining speared fish. Still holding out for a smaller Fish Hunter, hopefully this year as the cutting edge would provide more confidence for emergency situations. 2-7/8" blade?

Re: Another BLADE show, more stuff I want.
...Got to see some of the new stuff in the pipeline too...including a Para 3 lightweight with a wire clip! I was this close ][ to ordering the carbon C41CFFP5 Native V, but will now wait the year or so, to hopefully see if the wire clip will turn into a wider marketing trend. Otoh I'll probably sti...

Re: Spyderco/Phil Wilson Bow River
The Spyderco Bow River won't be as thin as the Junction, but is basically the same as the Sprig.

As mentioned in RamZar's post yesterday, plus a likeness and price. Tentative blade thickness: .12".

Re: OK, it's time to get serious
Well that sounds like a saber grind Delica to me. The blade may not be a true sheepsfoot but the belly is so small it may as well be and the hollow grind has a very stout tip. I just sharpened one last night for a friend and I started getting nostalgic about owning one again. I think the blade shap...

Re: Chaparral sharpening
I recommend you watch the Sharpmaker video..that will help. Yes. Your Chaparral probably shipped with an angle between 30 and 40. So if you opt to take it down to 30 (and I recommend that you do!), you'll want to have a Sharpie close to hand and some free time. Yup, to reach 30* in a new Spyderco c...

Nothing can replace the Delica. You might move on from it, replace it, leave it behind, but your history with it and its influence remains constant.
