You're not the only one to care about uneven grinds. All 5 PM2s and 3 Militaries I've had (all produced after 2016; idk if that matters) had a nice and even edge grind on the show side, but on the clip side from the tip to the belly, there is a section of over-ground, and therefore wider, edge bevel...

What is the mechanism to measure toughness, do they put a slab of steel in a vice and bend it? Is it scientific, or just user experience? Charpy tests are close to that. They use a pendulum to measure how much force is absorbed before fracture. V-notch specimines break a little differently than unn...

I've also been very curious about toughness, wear resistance, strength, and corrosion resistance differences between K390 and Rex 45. I kind of felt like the edge retention was a notch below s30v but I really enjoyed the way the steel sharpened and the aggressive edge it took and I always appreciate high toughness. That knife kind of reminded me of an ever so slightly soft...
