Re: Just bought my first Chaparral

My favourite of the smaller knives. I've got the S30V and carried it for the majority of one summer - cutting poly pipe, garden stakes, fencing wire and burrs off horses. Perfect for a pair of shorts. Mostly I've been carrying my Military these days but the Chaparral still gets in there on the weeke...

This is a Casey Lynch short clip. It's currently not attached with screws but this is the look. The carry is quite deep on the Native with this clip.

Re: UKPK thoughts. PIC HEAVY

So does the Urban and Ukpk have pinned scales? Could I have custom Ketchen scales made for them? Thanks. Steve can not mod the newer UKPK or Urban models due to the way the springs are installed. He can however mod one of the older G10 UKPKs (if you can find one!) such as this Koa wood one he did f...

Re: Polestar in stock now!

I think this knife will be a big hit! It looks like a really nice knife for the money. I will likely get the smaller Alcyone when they eventually hit the market. I agree, a very nice package. What is this Alcyone you speak of? I've missed this one. If i recall correctly, Sal had mentioned the Alcyo...

Re: Who else has never had a "sheeple" moment?

I have never had anyone cast a disapproving look or say anything negative to me while using a knife in public. I live in Vancouver which is the third largest city in Canada. I grew up rurally and used to wear a fixed blade mounted horizontally with a Manix 2 in my RFP and never thought twice about g...

Re: OK, it's time to get serious

I missed out on the PE the day they dropped at Warriors and Wonders. That same day W&W put up a few more Cruwear PM2's they managed to get ahold of. The Wharnie Delica was gone before the PM2's. Just sayin...

Native 5. It's my first Native and I love how solid it is in hand. The lack of a hump and a truly amazing back lock are something I can't get enough of right now...

Re: Knife laws in Canada

The only restrictions here are, no autos or butterfly knives. If you carry a fixed blade it must not be consealed. If the knife can be opened by gravity it is also prohibited. If you hold the lock bar on your pm2 and it flops open that is ok as you have to maniplate the lock, but if you can hold th...

Re: Dammit! Native 5 LW or Chaparall CF

How does the backlock on the Chap compare to the N5? I've never handled a Chap, but can say that the lock on the N5 is easily the best backlock that I've ever used. It doesn't. I love my Chap, one of my favourites for sure. The lockup on mine is totally solid with absolutely no play, but the Native...
