I don't necessarily think it's awful but I don't particularly like it and I already have a half dozen other knives with it

Re: Does anyone have any pictures from the Spyderco booth at the 2024 Shot Show?
i'm going to have to make it to one of these shows someday. Says everyone here, every year! :squinting-tongue My parents used to go every year to see all the new shooting gear and place orders for the year for our gun store. I never got to go and always wanted to. I keep saying I'm going to make it...

Re: gray G-10 CPM-Cruwear... delica?
I thought getting G10 on Seki knives was pretty expensive, and why a few of the models with G10 had been discontinued? That was the issue with the SNK Exclusive Delica. It was a really slow seller for them because it was so expensive. I'm happy I have it but probably wouldn't do the Grey G10 Cruwea...

Re: Can We Get Better Clip Screws?
I have a pile of Spyderco knives and I don't think I've ever had an issue with a clip screw. I might've had one with a funky torx head on a Seki knife but no issue removing it with a Wiha bit. I also don't have any issues with the type of screw. They work fine with the clips provided. If you have an...

Re: Looking for thoughts on Caly 3.5 vs. GB2
- i really don’t care for the Taichung carbon fiber laminate on top of g10. I'm a little the other way on this. I don't care for the Japan CF of my Caly 3.5 because of the smooth gloss finish. It may take me a little while to warm up to that. My Taichung CF/G10 Chaparral, Sliverax, and Watu have a ...

Re: Looking for thoughts on Caly 3.5 vs. GB2
This is the typical which one thread on the Spyderco Forum. Half the people choose one model and half choose the other. A few others feel the need to choose something that's not even on the table
Once again there's only one good answer. Buy them all

Re: Looking for thoughts on Caly 3.5 vs. GB2
The GB2 is especially designed for its linerlock NOT to be easily accessed. You kinda have to turn the knife upwards (edge facing up) and intentionally put your thumb in there to disengage the lock. People not wanting this kind of anti accidental unlocking feature did modify theirs, to open up acce...

Re: Would a D'Allara 4 with CBBL interest anyone?
I've always the the D'Allara was a nice knife but it's so close to the Manix 2 I never picked one up. Adding a CBBL to the D'Allara would make it even closer to the Manix. So no interest here Does not look too close to a Manix to me.. more of a sheepsfooty blade, a lot more edge, no choil, more neu...

Re: S30V or SPY27
Here's what I said in the other thread. "They're both great IMO. Flip a coin. You might find SPY27 a little easier to sharpen but S30V is pretty easy to touch up on the Sharpmaker once you get the hang of it Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most!" Amazing that I still feel th...

Re: Sharpmaker Elite Edition
I thought I remember Sal saying awhile back that Eric was working on an adjustable base. Haven't heard anything since. I've made a few of these for one of the members but it's not ideal IMO. The stones vary in width and, like the regular SM, the angles aren't exactly what they're supposed to be. I t...

Re: Delica 4 in 2024?
Fun fact, if you clean your VG-10 Delica 4 blade and angle it in the light just right. You can see the chromium carbide banding flowing parallel with the blade. Thank for the explanation! Someone pointed that out about VG-10 a long time ago and I've wondered why it looked that way ever since. That'...

I forgot all about this knife, has literally been YEARS since one was posted around here. Actually about a week before this thread was revived one was posted in the Photo of the Week Contest. So it was literally 6 DAYS since one was posted haha https://forum.spyderco.com/viewtopic.php?p=1763198#p17...

Re: Delica 4 in 2024?
Guys showing off knives wearing disposable surgical gloves?? Heck is going on here!?! Haha I've seen that several times and and I just shake my head. I don't watch reviews on YT anymore. If I see a knife that I think I might like I'll buy it and try it for myself rather than listen to what some wan...

Re: Delica 4 in 2024?
When it was time to pick a knife to carry this morning I realized I hadn't carried a Delica in awhile. I had the K390 Endela on me a few times recently. So a K390 Wharnie Delica is what I chose to carry today. I've mentioned before that I think my hands must be about the same size as Sal and Eric's....

Re: Native 5 Lightweight - Lube pivot or not?
I have 5 or 6 Native 5 LWs. I've never lubed any of them and they never felt like they needed any break in time. They all feel pretty smooth and the blade drops down on my finger by pushing the lockbar. Same with all the other non-LW Native 5s I have. Lube if you must but I feel it's unecessary I ha...
