Or maybe make an extra 600 of the PM2 20cv exclusive so a normal human can get one. Do they have bots buying these things up when they hit the market. I was there 15 minutes after they went live - not even close...

Re: Favorite steel!
So far PMA11 (A10) has been my favorite. Amazing edge retention. I want to like K390 more since it is supposed to be tougher. I have the urban, but comparing an Urban to a Mule is tough
Hoping to get the frn police in k390 to test it with a bigger knife

Re: Spyderco and Murray Carter colab...
I could handle in the low $200's and grab one knife. I wish they had a long carving knife that was a little less "tall" if that is the right word. From edge to the spine. That large chef/carving knife is a little taller then I would want, but I would still grab one of those awesome knives.

Re: ST. Nicks Exclusive Delica
The coating on the pac salt wears of pretty fast, (so do the serrations :P) I don't mind though. But the dlc on my First Pm2 looks almost like its brand New,, Good stuff.. :) 1551823060951386.jpg Dude - what are you doing with that knife??? You are a serious user! My Pac Salt has seen some good use...

Would you trade ...
Would you sell a ZDP stretch on the secondary, maybe get $100 +/-, with the purpose of "upgrading" to a GB folder? Costs $50-$60 to trade a ZDP stretch for the GB. Would you do it? Uses - do not worry about it. Carried randomly in my rotation. Corrosion is not a big concern, just trying to...

Re: What is tougher?
Cool info, I appreciate it. It would be fun to see more steels on that toughness chart for comparison. The Powder metallurgy process is the same that makes PS27 tougher then ingot D2 - is that right? Correct. Larrin analyses some tests of cast vs PM D2 equivalents in the middle of the page here: ht...

Re: What is tougher?
What is the mechanism to measure toughness, do they put a slab of steel in a vice and bend it? Is it scientific, or just user experience? Charpy tests are close to that. They use a pendulum to measure how much force is absorbed before fracture. V-notch specimines break a little differently than unn...

K390 vs Rex-45?
Do we know the difference yet? And, are we just splitting hairs at this point. Their composition is different but they seem to be a good choice for a tougher high edge retention steel. Thoughts?

Re: eBay selling
I have bought and sold a few knives on ebay, I use the auction feature with no bottom price (I forgot he exact term), it is not very expensive at all. But, I would not sell a PM2 or Millie on there as people are too worried about fakes. Most other knives are fine, and make sure to demonstrate it is ...

Re: Will there be more Rex 45?
I would buy a manix, native, or ukpk. Maybe something funky like a Yo2. I dislike the orange, but that is a steel I need to try out. Even a fixed blade would be really cool! Maybe a sprig, or a bow river type set up.

Re: Hard truths and observations
These are just my opinions/ramblings and not here for argument. Wages in general are an interesting study. From a social psychology point of view. A constant "yin-Yang". Many businesses have their own points of view on this concept world wide. One point of view says; "keep costs as l...

Batoning, SMH...
Batoning with a folder is dumb, right? We all have seen the abuse videos and realistically that should never happen. Well, I found myself in a jam, long story, and had to use my CF/Ti s90 millie. I am not sure what type of wood it was (we have mostly pine in AZ), but it seemed like hard stuff. I did...
