Re: Spyderco C81GPGY2 Paramilitary 2 CRU-WEAR

You guys are terrible! I finally gave in and ordered one from the Cutlery Shoppe. I got an email about an hour later saying it's already shipped. Why did I join this place?

I got mine yesterday. No problems at all - perfectly centered. I was actually surprised how smooth the opening was. This is my first Manix and I love the steel.

Re: Sal's favorite steel

When I met him at last years factory seconds sale, he was carrying a vial of powdered XHP steel in his pocket and talked to me about what a great steel it was. We got on the topic after I asked him about the Hungarian knife. I'm sure everyone else already knows this, but he is a super nice guy.

Re: New Manix Releases

I'm also finding myself carrying the lightweight versions of my knives more than their G10 counterparts. I think the G10 models look better and have a higher quality feel, or at least perception, but the grippy G10 is hard on pants for an EDC. The FRN models are a little more forgiving in that area....

I just ordered one. I've noticed some people complain about Knife Centers pre-orders. Have there been problems with this process in the past?

Re: Police 4 Discussion/Speculation

If this was designed for working cops, it would come in the most corrosion resistant stainless steel, as well as have the best edge retention, and easiest to sharpen. Just kidding about the ease of sharpening. No cop I know ever sharpens their knife. :) They just wait till someone is dumb enough to ...

I'd take S30V too. I'd just like to see the old model updated a little bit.

s110v Police Model

Anyone else think the Police model would be awesome in s110v ? A dark blue G10 would be great and would match our uniform pants, but the blurple would be fun too.

Re: An idea for those with blade length laws

It certainly looks like the non-locking and or 2.5" blades will become more and more common. I'm glad we're talking about this now, and planning on models rather than waiting until after the laws are changed and trying to play catch up. I understand that most knife users can make do with a 2.5&...

Re: An idea for those with blade length laws

I love that bobbed Yo. Now if we could get one with denim blue G-10 and a stone washed clip, it would be the ultimate urban defense blade.

Urban Camouflage

I've been thinking about this for a while. With many large cities getting stricter on knives ( NY, Chicago, etc..), I was thinking about the benefits of knives that utilize urban camouflage. To me, the two best examples of this are the Khar Arms Delica in denim blue and the Techno. They both blend i...
