Re: Hello, why do you guys like Spyderco?

Design.Ergos.Spydie hole.Colors.Steels.Lightweight.Cool colabs with great designers.Sal and Eric are closer to their fans than any knife makers.Buy the Delica already, you will never regret.Of course, you will then buy another, then a Endura, then a Dragonfly,a Polestar...and then you will discover the ...

Re: Is the native5 the new delica?

No.The Native is a ok knife, but not more.I miss the hump which raises the opening hole, making the Delica much easier to open, and if i dont use the choil i dont have enough real estate on that handle. On the price:are you guys for real?!A Delica is between 80 and 100 $ in Europe, and i still think its...

Re: Your Delica 5

My Delica 5: The only thing I´d wish for is an increase in cutting edge. When closed, the blade of the Delica 4 does not extend all the way to the rear end of the handle, so it could be lengthend with no problem. I am not fully aware of American knife laws (since I am Europrean), but I get that the...

Re: Please help a British Bobby find his knife!

Lads! Thank you for the huge range of responses! You lads have all changed my mind, but now! Now we are onto another question! This is going to be a cheeky chrismas present request from the partner. As I live in the UK it is a nightmare to get knifes here. I'm going to make reference to work about ...

Re: How often do you carry a fixed blade?

I’d like to vote: never but I’d like to. Legally I’m allowed, don’t care how people react, just haven’t found the right knife. I’d like to see something with a smaller sheath, 3 inch blade. Try the Kizlyar Super Hammy. I got one from a friend of mine in Russia, and it's like a fixed blade Dragonfly....

Re: Why Don't You Like Framelocks?

They are usually steel or titanium, which i dont like, and most of them don't have an over travel stop-those who have are very expensive. So i will always choose a liner over a frame lock.

Re: Please help a British Bobby find his knife!

Buy a locking folder, probably a serrated Endura will be perfect for you.If you are set on buying a non locking knife, the friction folder, with it's sheath is the next best choice.

Wouldn’t it be nice if the S30V were a regular catalog steel ?

It is funny how the Endura does not work for me unless I modify it, but the Delica is good right out of the box.
I have small hands and both the D and E 4 fit me like gloves.

Re: How to get more women/females into Spyderco?

We can't.Women, like men either are into knives,or cars,or needle point or not.If you see a knife as a piece of art, history, inovation, design or tradition, and if you think you need more than one-you are a knife guy or gal.If you think a knife is just something to cut things with, you are not.Nothing wr...

Thanks for the great pics. One of these is on my wish list but there are a couple of things holding me back. I can't decide between the Polestar and the Alcyone, and I'm wondering if they will be transitioning to bd1n anytime soon.
You need both,of course ;)

I like them well used if they're already mine but buying I'd prefer new most of the time unless I'm buying from a trusted source.
I'm the same way.I always buy new,but i like the knife better after i put a little wear on it.

Re: Alcyone a sporty gentlemans knife

I'm a huge Polestar fan,and the Alcyone is on my buy list for next year.I only wish Sal will came out with a fixed blade based on this design.3.5'' blade, skeletonized full tang, same blade shape, same grey g10-let's call it Pollux or Antares.

The Millie is fine just the way it is.I don't understand why so many people love to hate the liner lock. You can cut yourself closing any lock-the liner will make you more careful,if anything.By the way,i love liner locks :p
