My sons first Delica and Dragonfly.
He loves both of them. We had fun putting them together. We had to make some duck tape scales for the wood one as the pins kept falling out. Thanks spyderco for making these.

Re: Red Loctite - An Official Statement from Spyderco
That is great news I just bought another Advocate because of it thank you Spyderco.
Ankerson and evil D the other people who wanted this are customers as well. Spyderco already has you guys who NEVER ever take your knives apart now Spyderco has satisfied more customers.

Re: Anyone see Apostle P's rant on Spyderco?
I think this has gotten a little out of hand on both sides. As I said before he usually loves Spyderco and gives them great reviews. But he did not handle the Advocate issue well. But as for some kind of dark underlying motive to hurt Spyderco That's just B.S. Watch a few of his reviews on Spyderco ...

Re: Anyone see Apostle P's rant on Spyderco?
I just bought on last night to see what all the hubbub is about. I will compare it to my custom version which I have never had a problem with ever. It has no washers the bearings just run on the frame.
This is a shame I hate to see Spyderco dragged through the mud over this.

Re: Gayle Bradley Advocate First Impressions?
Here are two pictures of my Jake Hoback MK Ultra Hardened Stainless Bearing Races. I cant get the races out to tell you their thickness. This knife has the smoothest flipping and closing action of any bearing knife I have ever owned even my Gayle Bradley custom tac one ( Advocate) is not as good. IM...

Re: Anyone see Apostle P's rant on Spyderco?
I personally find youtube very helpful especially when researching a high end knife or one I dont have local access to. For example Mr. Shabazz's Shirogorov Neon Lite youtube video saved me some time and money because I dont like lose bearings or stiff milled pocket clips. Or another reason is to se...

Re: Anyone see Apostle P's rant on Spyderco?
My 2 cents which is worth less than 2 cents. One: He normally has high praise for Spyderco really high praise. He loves the Bradley 1 it was one of his top knives he carries. Honestly he usually loves on Spyderco. Two: You wont like this but I have to admit I hate the fact that Spyderco wont let us ...

Why not Just switch to washers ditch the bearings. You can still make a sweet flipper without the bearings. Its also just less steps and expense.

Re: Maxamet Delica
Is there any evidence that Maxamet does not hold its apex as well as AEB-L? I have been using it for months now and it has not been a problem and the wear resistance has been amazing as well as how sharp of an edge it will take. I have no evidence, but *most* ultra-high carbide steels are prone to ...

I keep buying manix 2 in mexamet I have 5 now. I blade traded and pimped one. Loaned one to Gayle Bradley who also now has a pre order for a native 5 in maxamet. Lots of back ups to boot. Although I do not think I will ever use them all up. I love Maxamet! The native is just taking so long to get h...

Re: K2 with super stick liner. On to Golden?
I posted yesterday or day before about the bad lock stick on my K2. Now I have one that is going to be a user and one for backup (that's what I have to do to sleep at night). Here's the deal, as with my Domino and Southard, they come from Taichung of course. But I believe the stick is so bad I need...

Re: Manix 2 LW Choices
To be honest I do not know how easy it will sharpen on ceramic. But I am sure once you have an edge it will be easy to maintain it with any stone. When mine gets a little dull I just pop it on the 9 micron fine stone and finish with a few strokes on 3 micron.

Re: Manix 2 LW Choices
I don't find it hard to sharpen at all mostly because it rarely needs it. I have had CTS XHP in cold steel American lawman and carried it for months of daily use. It's really not much harder to sharpen but it does hold an edge a lot longer. I was cleaning out my late father in laws storage facility....

If they could even mill out some pockets on the inside like the light weight to lighten it.
Okay I know this is pushing it but how cool would bi directional pattern be on Ti scales  .
