Re: Tanto PM2 Support Thread

It's still a riddle to me why the Super leaf didn't push both PM2 and Manix 2 out since it is IMO superior to them both, except maybe steel-wise..

Re: Tanto PM2 Support Thread

I can already see the PM2 fanbois slobbering all over the place imagining the tanto PM2 in more flavors than ice cream in a Italian ice cream shop :)

I've always thought it was a great, and very underrated movie, with a fantastic cast.
I agree! I thought it was very special the first time i saw it. Even bougt the DVD years later because i really wanted to watch it again.

Re: Lets talk stropping

Firstly, stropping isn't necessary. Just wanted to get that out of the way. I strop for EASE of guaranteed burr removal, not out of necessity. I also strop (on wood) because it's cheaper than buying lots of stones (when a fine edge is desired). The abrasive you want depends on the steel, the hardne...

A micarta handled pe would be great, I can almost feel it in my hand. C16, c18 or c20, either Will do. I...

I sold my Chaparral-
It’s a good knife And a great slicer but I think the blade isnt quite long enough for stuff like cutting apples
I found out the hard way that the Delica (at 2 mm longer blade) is just long enough to cut an apple *and* open up the palm of my hand :O

Kristi, I'm guessing many of the celebrities on your list (the first nine ) were in town filming "Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead"?
That's funny! Exactly my first thought too :D

Re: Spyderco new FRN Lightweights: What do you think will be the best?

Hasn't the Endura always been a "lightweight"? (Except for the SS and G10 models of course?
Or is the Wharnie even lighter in weight than the ordinary one?

Re: Anyone else here still love the Starmate?

I remember when they had the Starmate on clearance at Sierratradingpost at a ridiculously low price and I didn't pull the trigger... another smart move on my part. Haven't we all been there at some point in time, hovering over they "buy" button, then thinking ..naah, and after a couple of years you...

Re: C68 Gunting

Hi Larry, This began when Bram designed a knife that REKAT was going to make called the "Escalator". We were planning to use the Rolling lock and make the knife OEM for REKAT. Then REKAT had a falling out with Bram and they dropped the project. We had already gone up the street and down the block w...

C68 Gunting

I just got the Gunting G68GP and C68GTR (Trainer) now, i have handled one before, once a couple of years ago. Back then i didn't think about the compression lock being "reversed" as for a left handed user. Both these are. From pictures i have found online they all seem to be like that. What's the st...

Re: Ever met any celebrities?

Apart from Danny Glover, Kenneth Branagh and David Labrava (oh and Eric Glesser of course :) ) I doub't you've ever heard of my "heroes" unless you're into Irish traditional music. Met The Chieftains year before last in Finland and once had coffee and sandwiches with the Dubliners after their gig. A...
