Crazy that this is still available.
The 2015 Forum Native didn't fly off the shelves either as far as i can recall. I don't know how sought after that one is today, but there will come a day people regret not picking one up while they had the chance, i'm sure :)

Re: New? Immerse!

Although i am 95% collector nowadays the original post is a correct description how i ended up a Spydiehead :) I went from Buck 110 to Delica (which felt totally weird, plasticky and toy like) however i learned to love it, and if i hadn't misplaced/lost it after carrying it daily more than 12 years ...

I am planning that. Haven't decided yet what to do?

First of all, sincere condolences to family, you and friends.
I'd appreciate any of the existing Goddards as a sprint, but would prefer the Jr. I think Mr Goddard deserve a Swedish Damascus Jr with Desert ironwood or Cocobolo scales

Re: Who else is excited about the FRN Sage that Spyderco plans to make?

Hi Sharp Guy, I didn't want to use a new lock as I'd rather reserve that for regular production./ The FRN Sage was for those that would like to carry the Sage as an EDC because of the design, at a lower cost, rather than the lock. The Compression lock is very popular right now so it seemed like the...

Re: Who else is excited about the FRN Sage that Spyderco plans to make?

Asi have said earlier, I personally see the Sage series as a litttle more "dressy" knives, so not very excited about FRN Sage If i were able to make a wish come through i'd choose Axis or Neely lock and pakkawood or micarta scales.. Also, if it is to become a ball lock model i'd prefer it the way th...

The plot thickens.. What's with the withdrawal of the original post rycen?
Eagerly awaiting explanation from Spyderco because i don't understand what's going on. If the knives are counterfeit/copies they/the pirates are setting a new record since the knife is not yet available?

Re: Sal's Casual Bombshell Thread

Sal: All power to you, and i know your philosophy. I own a fair number of Spydies and i really appreciate the diversity, even if my posts here might indicate the opposite :) I guess it may be in my mind i see certain Spyderco "families" in a certain way, like the Kopas - "suit/dress knives", Delica/...

Re: Sal's Casual Bombshell Thread

Well, if there *has* to be a FRN and a CBBL Sage, might as well combine it into the same model, that way i get the, for me least attractive lock and least attractive handle in one knife. :)

Re: Sal's Casual Bombshell Thread

Yuck Yuck might turn out to be appropriate but I doubt it. I like my FRN Spydies just as much as all the others. I'll be interested to see what they're going to do with this one. I am not dissing on FRN, i just wish they/Spyderco would keep the Sage family a bit "classier" for lack of better words....

It's the perfect size for a Military.. If you think it's too big - get a PM 2, too small get a Tatanka :)

Re: The Shibui knife

I do not dislike the Tenacious or Polestar, but neither of them has anything on the Raven 2 for me.
IMO, the Raven 2 is Spyderco's/Sal's home run in this segment.

Re: What's your reason for doing a high grit "polished" edge?

For lack of alternative combining option 1 and 2 i voted 1 :)
I don't find it worth the effort and money buying all the stuff necessary, and even if i did, i wouldn't bother "mirroring" every knife i own.
My kitchen knives rarely see anything north of 600 grit for example, and they shave hair..

Re: How do you determine which Spyderco is best for you?

Perhaps this question has been asked in another form before, but, in a general sense, or specific sense, when you pick one of Spyderco's products, how do you determine if one model is better than another? Size? Shape? Steel? Handle? That’s simple, just buy/try all the ones that call to you, then se...
