One more thing though - if it is an anniversary model - Please, mark it as such in the form of a "medallion" in the scales a lá Mk1 Starmate. No billboard etching on the blade.

^^ this. Or better: Don't make us wait till the next major anniversary. ;)

What other titanium boy toys do YOU own? :)

Wow, that one is... well out of my league, for a toy. Beautiful though. Congrats, Bloke!

I think I'll settle for an ok looking affordable no-name flask.

Re: Obsessed with titanium (a little) - what else can I get?

The Titaner Mini Bolt GR5 is on my radar. Would be a nice small alternative. A zippo - nah. However if there was a titanium arc lighter... That would be down my alley. Need to check this. I LOVE the idea of a titanium flask!! Same as the mug. Checking out the offers as I write this. :D

Re: Obsessed with titanium (a little) - what else can I get?

lol nice idea David, but not my style. :p Jewelry yes, but it's got to be fully external.

Most tempting are more tactical pens. There are a few that look appealing. Plus they are rather affordable. Nevertheless it's getting difficult to sell the need for a 3rd 4th 5th to the missis... ;)

Re: Obsessed with titanium (a little) - what else can I get?

Prybar, bottle opener and chopsticks I've seen. They just don't trigger this must-have reflex in me. I don't have to wear glasses. If I'd have to, believe me I'd go for titanium frames. :) The LM Charge, yeah... But I own a Surge with which I'm totally happy, so... All valid suggestions, thanks. Gim...

I'm looking for portable stuff by the way. No dust collecting sculptures or so... ;) Useful things made out of this fantastic material called titanium.

Obsessed with titanium (a little) - what else can I get?

Apart from my spinal implant and my wedding band, I own a couple Spydies with titanium scales, a couple of titanium flashlights, a watch, two titanium tactical pens, a kubotan, a whistle, several keychain capsules, toothpicks, two ball chain necklaces, and a dog tag. Company Titaner sells a few othe...

Re: How about a double edge dagger Spydie?

It would for sure be no knife for cutting apples in public, or opening boxes. I sure hope I would never have to use it for stabbing purposes, cause you know... Nevertheless I want one. :) It's one of these situations where you can only give flimsy reasons. But man would it be nice to have a double e...

Re: How about a double edge dagger Spydie?

I'm not American. And I like symmetry.

I think 98% of the frequent posters here have more than one :spyder: for each use case. So this is not the driver.

Re: What Millie will be 'revealed' next?

I can't really see a "lightweight" version being much lighter unless it were done with a single partial liner. There just isn't that much weight difference between G10 and FRN is there? I can't see there being any more than half an ounce difference if that. The Military is already pretty light for ...

Re: Milli blade, meet P4 handles and lock

I can't give any (scientific) evidence. I just feel that it would be a superb knife, if not for you, then for me. And my feeling is that it would sell well. I realise that the slim & light supporter group is strong in the forum. At the same time I doubt that there wouldn't be enough people that'd lo...

Re: Milli blade, meet P4 handles and lock

It feels better when I put my thumb on the ramp. :p

Seriously, the ratio of blade length to blade thickness is much more appealing on the Millie. The P4 blade is for slicing. With the Millie blade you can even chop. I'm more of a chopper on a large knife. I'd use shorter blades to slice.

Milli blade, meet P4 handles and lock

Hmm... Am just playing with both my P4 K390 and my Millie with Rex45 blade. I love the solid closed construction of the P4. And I prefer the P4 back lock over the liner lock of the Millie (alot). What's better on the Millie is the blade thickness, and coming with that the higher handle thickness (th...

Re: Spyderco Sapphire Knives

Don't you think that as a steel knife manufacturer you'd need all new machinery to start producing non-steel blades, whichever non-steel material that would be? Not to mention that you'd need to learn how to do it etc. Kinda sounds REALLY costly to me to add another totally different chemistry, phys...

I am assuming that your interest is for the Damasteel version of Damascus? They were just at Spyderco recently for a tour. Good people.

sal

Just out of curiosity ;) : were they in to just have a beer? Or on a project? Kill me quickly, or throw me a bone, Sal. :)
