I own both versions and like them both.

[EDIT] Course my Stretch 2 is the ZDP189 version with G10 scales.

I would carry a high quality 440C or 420HC blade knife. Needless to say, VG10 is enough for me. Do I own better? Sure! But there's a big difference between what I want and what I need.

I recently bought an over and under shotgun and was paying attention to which make and model was a perfect fit for me. I have a Delica with Damascus steel, and the etched Damascus pattern is fading with use, is that normal for Damascus? Is there anything I can do about that?

Ok - my son just pointed out to me this is a retro knife which is why the font and clip are different.

Just got a used Calypso JR and was surprised; The action is super smooth. The satin clip is unique and very cool. The font of the engraving is different. I like that the blade is not sandwiched in another steel. Worth it if you can find one.

I like the handle of the 2 better; still have to use it for a while to say which blade shape I like better.

Just got it today! The G10 matches the G10 of this Sprint run PM2. My other Stretches are FRN and I must say the G10 and liners really feel solid.

So I just got the Stretch 2 today. As far as the handle goes, I like the 2 better than the 1. As far as the blade shape goes? hmm - jury is still out.

Same here - the Stretch is goofy looking but very, very ergonomic. I just ordered my third Stretch today. Since you're awaiting your third stretch already, I assume that at least one of the two you already own will be the discontinued Stretch 1? How do you feel about the changes made from Stretch 1...

I was thinking a Stretch ZDP-189 in FRN; what say you guys? Will even consider a knife no longer made on the used market.
