Re: Any news on the Kapara slipjoint?

First of all thanks from across the border - a premium SlipIt will be much appreciated over here in Germany. As far as I know, this picture shows a custom knife that Sal might base his version on. I'd expect him to modify the design here and there though and am excited to see what he comes up with ...

Apparently a slip joint version is in the works. I wouldn't mind if this one got the salt treatment.
Me neither, waiting for the slipjoint no matter what.

How about a Salt/Magnacut Kapara?

Well, I guess my love for the Kapara is no secret, and I do realize that it is on the wrong production location for this to happen anytime soon. But considering that the Kapara was conceived as a folding food prep knife, wouldn't it just make sense to give it the Salt/Magnacut/FRN treatment? It woul...

Re: Catcherman LC200N Sprint Run

Com2youbiwak is a decent shop if you order something readily available, but their preorder strategy and availability is to be taken with a huge grain of salt, as not to say that they are purposely lying/misleading on the availability.

Re: Chaparral

I stand by my opinion that I would greatly appreciate a chapparal with an upgraded steel. Xhp is okay and works well for the knife and it's intended purpose... I guess it is just a want.

Re: Spyderco Amsterdam Meet 2024 Report

Oh wow... That charisma... I might really get tempted by that one... There are other great knives here including the sage, but honestly I am kinda past all the sprints and same model in a different steel stuff. So yeah, the charisma looks very nice.

Thank you for the information Sal! Without knocking your or Eric's designs, the Kapara is my favourite spyderco knife! And that is saying a lot with all the great knives in the lineup.

Any news on the Kapara slipjoint?

It has been awfully quiet on any news regarding the slipjoint and the smaller version of the Kapara... I was really hoping 2024 would be the year for it.

Yes, but that is because one handed opening and locking blades are illegal to carry publicly in Germany. I would however also carry a larger fixed blade for easy access in or on my bag.

I want the cruwear one, but I can't justify to import it. I had the M4 and M4 and me just don't mesh well... It will stain and develop rust spots in no time.

Re: A Gayle Bradley 2 in Cruwear!

Really really like the GB1 and 2, I don't have an issue with the spyderco gf laminate... However, even though I love M4 for the durability, sharpening etc... there is something with my body chemistry and the way I use and carry my knives, that creates rust spots within a day of pocket carry on M4 st...
