Re: SpyderPac - not completely impressed

Mine arrived broken as well. I didn't even notice until I had it loaded up. It is quite noticeable when handling a full pac and I will also have to take it apart and replace the piece.

Re: Is this Paramilitary 2 authentic?

Isn't it also missing Sal's initials on the blade? My guess is it's a fake but I'm no expert either.

Re: 2015 Forum Knife Freestyle Model Nomination

I think I'm with most in saying that in the end I'd be happy with any model, especially considering this would be my first forum knife... but for the purpose of this thread I'd love to see a serrated Dodo!

Yes, my Lil' Lionspy came in a zippered pouch and also came with a pivot adjustment tool. It's the smaller zippered pouch.

Re: Santoku

Thank you for the measurements. Believe it or not, almost none of the standalone knife blocks available list the slot widths in the block. Of the ones that do, 2" seems to be the biggest. I just took a small saw blade and some sandpaper to my old block and got the big slot to about 2 1/4, which...

Re: Santoku

Mine is about 2mm thick where the steel meets the handle going down to 1.5mm at the drop part of the blade. Handle is 2.5cmm thick at its widest and around 2.1mm throughout the rest of the handle. Thanks! Although I'm looking for blade width (edge to spine) rather than thickness. The slots in my cu...

Re: Santoku

Can someone measure the width of their older Santoku? I have a feeling I will need to modify my current knife block or get a new one to accommodate my expanding kitchen knife collection.

Cutlery Shoppe has some really good year-end close out deals. Some of the best prices I've seen on their remaining stock of discontinued Spydies.

Re: Seto Kitchen Knives

Hmm, the K05 is called the Small Utility, the Paring Knife is the K09. Wonder which is coming out. Hope it's the K05, as that's my most used kitchen knife. Interesting... It specifically says K05 Paring, but it's just a placeholder listing and there are no specs/pictures. I normally have to referen...

Re: Seto Kitchen Knives

As a newlywed who convinced his then-fiance to leave knives off the wedding registry and "let me handle that," I'm hopeful that this means we'll see additions to the K04 Utility model in 2015. I did see that at least one dealer has put up a preliminary listing for K05 Paring Knives!

Re: Another "What Knife to Buy" Thread

Agree with the Military recommendation. A must-have for any Spyderco collection. One of those knives that you'll always come back to, even when you have dozens of more exotic models to choose from!
