Re: Caly Hap40 Sprint in Forest Green
I've been bummed since they cancelled the basic caly, can't wait for this sprint. Have not had a chance to try Hap 40 yet, but this is as good a reason as any. Looking forward to giving this one a try, def top of the list from the 2017 lineup for me.

Re: Yojimbo 2 handle mods
Of course it is hard to speak for someone else, not knowing your exact hand size and grip, but I agree with placing the thumb on the dip in the spine feels natural to me (medium size hands). This is one of those knives I did not buy as an EDC, but after using the knife it just feels so natural/comfo...

Re: Your top 2 Spyderco folders and WHY.
1. CALY 3.5. Cause its the best knife ever made and cuts better than any other knife I have.
2. Much harder, but probably vallotton because its so darn beautiful.

Get Pumped for the PPT
Has anyone seen any updates on the sprint blacked out PPT? I missed the first iteration and have been regretting this ever since. This has to be my most anticipated release for 2015!!! I can't wait to get my hands on one...anybody else? Also, if any of you have the original and want to post some awe...

Re: *UPDATED*: 2015 FORUM KNIFE POLL - VOTING ENDS FEB 1
So bored with the PM2...soo many variants already, don't we all have one.
With the Caly 3.5 just getting the can, it would be awesome to have a chance to get a forum knife version.
I really hope Sal cans the PM2 idea...a great knife and all but enough already.

Man this can't be true. I was shocked to see this on the discontinued list...really...am I still groggy...no way. As one other poster said, this is one of the knives I rotate out when I get something new I think is more exciting for one reason or another but keep coming back to the Caly. I can't thi...

Re: 3 Spydies that you really wanted to like but didn't in t
1. Calypso. I love my Caly 3.5 but the long, thin Calypso just felt goofy to me so I sold it. 2. Wow, hard to believe that out of 20+ spyderco knives the only one I didn't really like was the Calypso. Hard to believe actually. In the past i would have included the dragonfly as I had a hard time with...

Pivot design on Yo2
So I was reading another thread and this made me wonder, does the Yo2 have the stepped pivot design similar to the PM2? I only ask this because I put custom scales on mine and when the delicate wood scales cracked with temp. change I had to put my g10 scales back on (I know, voided warranty). Ever s...

Re: Chubby vs. Techno
Is it just me, or does the grind look a little wonky especially on the presentation side. Not sure if this is an illusion, but where the hollow grind stops and meets the swedge grind the line looks a little awkward to me. Cool little knife though, just not for me, ill stick with my techno. If I ever...

Re: Caly 3.5 or PM2?
Arggh...I have been migrating to more expensive knives lately and been carrying the slysz bowie and techno almost exclusively since it came out, but these threads just remind me how great the core lineup of spyderco's are. For me I would give the nod to the caly 3.5. Hard to beat that package of bla...

Thanks guys... I figured the contoured scales were a part of it.
Again not trying to stir up trouble more of a realization of what an awesome value the techno is!

Why so much more than the techno?
Let me start this thread out by saying I love my slysz bowie. I just got mine and really like the blade, ergo's, the whole package and I do feel the knife is overall worth the asking price. That said, I am having a hard time figuring out why this is almost twice the price of the techno. I feel like ...

Correction...I NEED that slysz! I am moving this weekend and the S110v manix has been ripping through some cardboard in the meantime, but it sure would be nice to be putting that beauty through the paces.
