For the same reason that S30V went from premium to garbage steel that chips on everything. People repeat incorrect statements until it's the new normal.

Not as easily as 1095 but it won't take long. Avoid food prep.

Anyone can buy a 10 inch chefs knife at Walmart. Seems incredibly silly to ban pocketknives when the more dangerous item has no restrictions at all.

My Sage 2 doesn't show much wear and I've had it and used it for 6 years or so. If the knife is used as a fidgeting toy opening and closing all the time then you might wear it out eventually. In normal use it should last indefinitely assuming no defects.

I didn't read the whole thread so this may have been addressed already. I bought a Domino for $180 when they first came out. After they were discontinued I saw them available for $125. At the regular price it was $70 cheaper than the ZT. That's a much larger difference than the op mentioned.

The poll doesn't make sense. Without knowing the alloy the HRC is irrelevant.

The dimensions are somewhat similar to my Spyderco Moran trailing point. I'll definitely be getting one of these to try and then probably more down the road.

Can anyone confirm that the second detent means the button alone does not close the blade? It's not clear from the video because Eric doesn't demonstrate it.
