Re: Nikola Tesla: Interesting article.

Very few people have even the slightest clue as to how much of a role that Nikola Tesla played in the scientific progress of Western Civilization. Not to mention his role in the "Industrial Revolution". Most people don't realize how huge of a contribution Tesla made in the innovation of A...

Re: Blood Groove: What is the truth behind it?

A fuller allows the blade to be made thicker, thus stiffer and stronger for the same weight as a blade without a fuller. Removal of some material lightens the blade while maintaining the additional strength due to the increased thickness.

Re: About that big thing that happened...

Seems like much ado about nothing. A police department asked for a favor. BM did them a favor. Some guns got recycled. There are hundreds of millions more guns and plenty more manufactured every day. I haven't seen any info on whether those guns were illegal (no serial #) or used in murders. None of...

Not a big deal. Knives will be for sale and I'll buy the ones that interest me.

Re: Left handed

I can deal with right handed frame and liner locks, but occluded Spyderholes mean I won't buy the knife. That's saved me a lot of money.

I also want to extend my appreciation to those who sympathized and understood my frustration. As for some of the responses I've received I find it interesting that replyi...

Did you use a quality Torx driver like Wiha brand? I've never had an issue when using a Wiha driver.

Re: Cleaning & Maintenance of Spyderco Ceramic Sharpening Stones?

I use BKF and a sponge or rag. Make a paste, scrub lightly, wash it off. Bar Keeper's Friend is an amazing product for cleaning a polishing metal. If they ever come up with a product that beats BKF I will switch to it immediately. I'm always looking for something better. But it's been well over 15 ...

Re: Let's get hyped for the Amalgam!

I'd buy one in a lefty version. I can't do right-handed compression locks. My friend is a lefty and there is only one (I think) left hand compression knife and it the s30v PM2 and he loves it. But, he is frustrated that's all. Especially when he sees the variety of PM2s out there. I own that one an...

Re: Sharpening with or without microbevel.

I sharpen freehand, but have always followed the advice of the person who taught me 66 years ago and increased the angle between the blade and the stone "a bit" for the last stroke or two on each side. Don't know if that counts as a microbevel or not, don't really care either. That's exac...

Fixed blade.

Other than that, who knows. Without precise, controlled testing for specific scenarios there's no way to know.

Until they use 3V, CPM Cruwear is the toughest steel available in a Spyderco folder. If this is useful for the Para 3 is another question: only you can decide.
