Re: Strange Question

I think the closest you'll find is a D'Allara 2 but they're out of production. It's not exactly the same shape but unlike similar models like the Rock Jumper it does have a 3D contoured handle like the Enuf. Appreciate the responses. @evild when you say three dimensional do you mean that the FRN sc...

Strange Question

Hey Everyone,

Please excuse the click-bait title. I was wondering if the were any folding Spydercos that have the same FRN handles as the Enuf series,

Cheers,

Re: Removing Patina from K390 (Urban)

So I made the "mistake" of adding patina to my K390 Urban using white vinegar soaked paper towel. I don't like the patina and now want to remove it. I tried Brasso but it doesn't seem to have made a difference. How can I remove the patina and restore the original finish to the blade? Chee...

I hope you didn't read that in my thread about my V-Toku2 Dragonfly. That's EXACTLY how I created my patina...and I'm sorry if you saw my thread, and steered you wrong. Patina's can be a touchy thing.
No you are off the hook - I read it on the internet. :)

Has *anyone* had success contacting Spyderco through their email addresses on the website?

Hey everyone,

I have been trying to contact Spyderco through their email website contact method but without success. There has been no response after a couple of days to two messages. Has anyone succeeded in contacting them through this method?

Cheers,

M

Re: Gentlemen's choice - urban k390 or chaparral light weight?

Hey Forest Green, Is yours smooth to open it does it rub/grate? And if it does rub which part of the opening does it rub during? Mine is distinctly on the first 90 degrees from the closed position. I notice that in the inside of the FRN near the choil that it looks to have been filed down on either ...

Re: Gentlemen's choice - urban k390 or chaparral light weight?

Well I received the knife and I really like it. In comparison to the dragonfly that I already have it is noticably larger in both blade length and inspite of roughly the same length handle it fits and fills my hand better. Just as a reference this is the largest knife I have so the "noticably l...

Gentlemen's choice - urban k390 or chaparral light weight?

Not saying I am a gentleman, but I am considering these two knives. I currently have a G10 dragonfly but want another knife (you know the drill). My preference is for smaller blades that I can discrete carry. The fact that the urban is a slip joint is irrelevant to *me*. I suspect I should buy the s...

Strange how different people have different ideas of what "camping" is. Mine is out of the back of a car or from a motorcycle. Looked at the Schempp Rock and it looks rather difficult to do food prep with. :-)

Thinking of buying my first Spyderco (Nilakka or Puukko)

Hello, So I have to admit that I am not really a knife aficionado, but I am looking for a knife to use for camping (food prep, kindling, whittling and other chores). I am interested in either the Nilakka or the Puukko (haven't decided on whether I want a folder or a fixed blade). Either way I am afr...
