I have a Calypso, Jr. in stainless. I carry at least once a week.

This is a fabulous knife and I would definitely get an FRN version. Probably with a Spydie edge.

My WTC arrived during the last week of April without the box.
Nice Meercat, though. I have used it to confuse many of my co-workers. Nobody can figure out how to close a Meer.

WTC Custom Presentation Box

When I received my World Trade Center knife it came with a note stating that there was a problem with the delivery of the wooden boxes. The box would (eventually) be shipped seperately. Has this been worked out? When will they be shipping the boxes? I would love to display my WTC on my desk at work,...

I'm with Philuk44.
The best combination is the one that you have on you. In my case that is a CF Delica and an Arc AAA or Streamlight Keymate.

The Surefire M6 is a killer light, but it is a might big to be carrying around 24/7.

I've never really been worried about the shotguns or long guns or the accidental deaths caused by the mis-handling of firearms. Follow the rules, handle the gun safely and things will be fine. What worries me are the INTENTIONAL deaths caused by handguns. Cheap, easily concealable pistols in the han...

Many people have the attention span of fleas. They live in a world where sound-bites ARE the news. They form opinions based on pre-digested and pre-packaged news stories. It sounds like the museum was trying to teach gun control in two sentences. Gun control defies this type of simple sound-bite dis...

I have them both here. The CF Delica has a single full-length Stainless Steel liner. This is just like the CF Police. There are three screws to hold the clip in place. The design is smaller and a bit different from the Police. The pivot pin is a screw and IS adjustable. I love my CF Delica. It has b...

Sal--Thanks for the response. I am very glad to here that you addressed this problem on the Dodo and the D'Allara. Yes, access to the ball is key. Simpler is better. The fewer moving parts, the better. I want a knife that opens easily, does its job, and then closes easily. The Spyderco compression l...

I bought one from NewGraham last Friday. 1SKS may be out of the loop because they were closed for a while.

I get the feeling that Spyderco has chosen to use a ball-bearing as the locking "pin" because it wasn't covered by any previous BM patents.
Just my wild guess.

I anxiously await your reviews of the Dodo and D'Alara.

WTC Lock Question

I really love the feel of the handle on the WTC. The blade is, of course, your basic fabulous Spydie work. The lock is a ball-bearing that slides in a manner similar to Benchmade's Axis or Cold Steels spring-loaded pin (I can't remember their name for it). The ball-bearing is quite difficult to slid...

Gritty Endura SS Question

I just received my Stainless Steel Endura (C10P) and the opening/closing motion is gritty. It feels and sounds like some tiny abrasive particles are stuck in the hinge. I cleaned it (Q-tips & Cloth) and lubed it and it is a bit better. I have never had this before with a Spydie. Is this peculiar...

I was just hoping that one existed already, maybe in a special edition that I had missed. I love my CF Police and thought that it needed a friend. The CF Police is a ture work of art, but a bit long for most of my daily needs. The Delica is a bit small in my clumsy/large hands. I was looking for a h...

CKE---I must politely disagree with you. Every time that a cheap Delica imitation is sold it takes money away from Spyderco. This is money that Spyderco deserves because they had the inspiration, did the research, and took the risk. YOU may know the difference between the real Spydie and the cheap k...
