Re: Lil Native Design Feedback

The Lil Native compression lock is kind of unique in that it lacks a standoff and screw towards the rear of the knife like the Para 3/PM2. It also lacks a lanyard hole. This knife is not intended to be used with a lanyard since it lacks the hole and rear structural support. However the backlock ver...

Lil Native Design Feedback

I just took delivery of a Lil Native DLC today and it's my first time handling this model. For the record, I remove the pocket clips from all of my Spyderco knives/models (Manix 2, Para 3, DF2, Manbug)... The brand of cargo pants I often wear has a narrow, rectangular sized pocket on my knife holdin...

Re: Spyderco Para 3 Varieties

KnivesPlus is now offering a Para 3 with black G10 and an acidwashed blade... Those are MODIFIED Spydercos, meaning, not from factory. Yes I'm aware of that... OP has other 'modified' Para 3's on his list and in the photo... I.E. Camo G10 with acidwashed blade and the Olive Drab G10 with the PVD co...

Re: Am I the only one?

That physically can't middle finger flick open a spyderco using the spydie hole? All the videos online seem like everyone flicks the knife open with ease. Not saying I want to open a spyderco this way just seems like everyone else can do it rather easily. I just open them with my thumb at a normal ...

Re: Spyderco Lil' Native DLC

If the wireclip and associated hardware is removed - can that hole in the handle be utilized as a lanyard hole?

Ladybugs are a favourite of mine. My carry ones are the LBKII and a ZDP. I don't carry them on my keys, just in the pocket.

Re: How permanent is RIT dying g10?

I've seen digicam dyed several colors, red blue and orange mostly though. Part of how well they turn out depends on how light the overall pattern is, since that's where your color will take to the most. The patterns are random so it's hit and miss. Red and Blue just did not appeal to my tastes...Di...

Re: Para 3 Blade Play Question

You know something, I used to stress about blade play. I'd have my knives fall shut but have slight side to side play. I spent hours trying to find the balance, but on some, I never could. Then when I bought my first Spyderco's, a PM 2 and a Para 3, guess what, yup still some blade play. I found if...

Re: Para 3 Blade Play Question

I only own about 6-7 Spydercos... Blade play only bothers me if I can feel the blade move/shift when I'm applying pressure and cutting into something - then I find it really annoying... My black FRN Dragonfly 2 does this, and I don't use it anymore as a result (yes I tried tightening the screws)... ...

Re: How permanent is RIT dying g10?

so i just got a camo and satin pm2 and i am considering rit dying the scales to a black/grey camo. This is exactly the type of 'mod' that I'm looking for... One of the Spyderco dealers does custom rit dye jobs and blade acid/stone washing - they also take special requests (custom orders), so I was ...

I'm pretty sure they're the same thickness, the standard blade shape just has a swedge ground at the spine which makes it seem thinner. The lock up should be the same on both.
Yeah I guess it is a bit visually deceptive:

Re: Short Review of Pakkawood Dfly and a suggestion for future Dflys

I have one FRN DF2 with enough vertical play to make me not want to use/carry the knife... I had 2 additional FRN DF2's with no such issue... One of them is the DF2 Salt Hawkbill - and what I really like about this knife is the thickness of the spine... The blade looks and feels a lot more robust th...

Re: Lil Native Questions (Grip & Future Variants)

Thank you everyone for the replies - they've been helpful... If the DLC compression lock version also features a black clip I will be buying that one too for sure The description on the KC website says it will have a wire clip. I can't imagine they would go with a satin finish wire clip on an all bl...

Lil Native Questions (Grip & Future Variants)

- I see that there are compression lock DLC variants of this knife being released soon. Is there likely to be a backlock DLC variant coming out as well at some point? Or likely only the compression lock model? -How have people found the grip to be on this knife? Especially for individuals with mediu...
