These new Ti Ripple scales from Parsons Bladeworks are pretty awesome! Installation was pretty easy, going on one side at a time. They feel really great in hand, the fluting is very tactile. Highly recommended!

Re: Micromelt PD#1
I'm going to add this only because it's such a critical point... I’m glad you added all that to say exactly what I said: they’re basically indistinguishable. 😉 I also really liked this KnifeCenter pic (their pic of course) of all of these new PD#1 offerings in one shot: https://i.imgur.com/3jk9462....

Re: Reveal 15 - Live!
I expected to see more excitement about the models in SPY27… I was excited to see the Lil’ Native being offered in SPY27 since my workplace recently enacted a 2.5 inch blade length rule. Hopefully it will be released sooner than later, along with the cobalt blue G10 SPY27 UKPK, which is the model I...

Re: Reveal 15 - Live!
Please note I don’t have any issues with Lionsteel or other Maniago makers, I’m just not a fan of how different the T3 will look compared to its siblings. There’s a loss of continuity there. Won’t stop me from buying one…

Re: Micromelt PD#1
It’s certainly very close. Micro-melt PD#1 has a titch more chromium and some manganese in it. I’m guessing they’d be nearly indistinguishable (assuming similar heat treats) but I’m sure Larrin can chime in.

Re: Reveal 15 - Live!
Interesting Reveal, not at all what I was expecting (like no 15V?!). There’s some really interesting Seki knives in there. I’m surprised by the dual G10 and lightweight Sages (seems a bit of overkill to me), and I guess I have to be the one to say that I’m not super pleased that the Techno 3 isn’t b...

For anyone interested in some of the Parsons Bladeworks titanium replacement scales like these fluted “Ripple” ones, he restocked his website with these and a couple of other style variants today in both stonewashed and blackwash options. Cheers, Radioactive https://parsonsbladeworks.bigcartel.com/ ...

Re: Dragonfly Salt Hawkbill
I really wish they would announce they’re planning to make a green Salt Dfly in LC200N, I don’t understand what the holdup has been. I’d be happy with basically any blade shape — leaf, wharnie, or hawkbill. I just really want a Dfly in that awesome green color they use on their other Seki LC200N Sal...

Re: Letters on mule lable
As Yab said, “PE” means plain edge. The HIC Mules have date codes of AX and BX (January and February 2024) from the boxes I’ve seen on eBay.

Re: Spyderco 50th Anniversary Knife?
It’s a 50th anniversary not a 5th though. Putting a little 5 next to the Spydiehole just flat out wouldn’t read as “50.” It would read as a “5” next to the Spydiehole. There aren’t many, if any, knives that offer enough space next to the Spydiehole to make the “5” large enough to make it read as a ...

That’s the recent satin LC200N version of the Catcherman, not the USN one.
Lance, I’ve been super curious since you first posted this thread: what kind of animal skull is that in your first pic?

Re: 52100 Native Chief?
I’d be all over a 52100 Chief if it meant we could finally get a proper peel-ply CF-handled version of the Chief, i.e. the peel-ply CF they used on the 52100 Military and all the other S90V Golden sprints. NOT the slick stuff they used on the S90V Chief — that drove me crazy. Blade swaps are easy en...

Re: Spymyto is hot!
The huge gap between the lock bar and the scale really bothers me for some reason. The Drunken and a few other models also have a wide gap, as does the Lionsteel Myto. I don’t understand the purpose of cutting them like that, especially when I’ve seen other models from Spyderco and other manufacture...

Re: Upcoming P.I.T.S. 2
Thanks for the pics and comments about the Alien. I didn’t really bump this thread for folks to mention their displeasure about the custom versions or their prices (which are high because he makes his customs in batches of 50 or so), but rather when the Spyderco version will be released. I’m assumin...
