Re: Where Artificial Intelligence Is Right Now

Do you worry about A.I. ? Some people are spending a LOT of money to make sure you do. Some good commentary here: https://substack.com/@aipanicnews Keep in mind that no regulation in America is going to stop A.I. research in other countries. In other words, all they're doing is giving China a clear...

Re: Where Artificial Intelligence Is Right Now

Militaries will begin to put AI in charge of various things. That will go well. Then, more advanced AI will be put in charge of other things. One day, AI will have its figurative finger on the nuclear missile button. Also, AI will eventually take over the role of ambassador to other nations, who in ...

Nah. You'd like the Dragonfly better. It is a lot more slicey and it weighs nothing. On some of your adventures you would have it and not even know you did until you needed it.

Re: Dragonfly vs. Lil' Native

https://i.postimg.cc/BnCZ0PWk/IMG-3432.jpg Would there be less distinction between the FRN D'fly and the Lil' Native LW? I think this would tighten up the choice due to the variety of steels offered on the Dfly. I prefer my comp lock Lil Natives to my Dfly's, not for the lock but just for ergos. Th...

Re: Serrated Edge for Hunting?

Replaceable blade hunting knives have been made by a number of companies over the years. The advantage is when you need a sharp blade, you can have one real fast and easy. Some that have a lot of game to process really like them. I've never used one, myself.

A couple of cannibals are sitting around, and one says:
“I don’t like my brother-in-law very much.”

The other one responds, “Then just eat the rice.”

Re: Serrated Edge for Hunting?

I used a serrated edge knife years ago. It wasn't a Spyderco. Here are my thoughts, based upon that experience (they may be just gas). Think serrated steak knife. It will go through flesh very easily and quickly. However, for the hide, it wasn't so good. A plain edge was better for me when skinning....

Re: H1 Fixed blades

I don't think it works that way. I think the work hardening is in the manufacturing, at least I remember it being that way. Sharpening doesn't do it...though I have read some that say it will after a long time. I think it is a case that the teeth get a little rounded and therefore cut better. Those...
