I like the idea of this knife but i worry about S30V for Bushcraft. I think I'll wait until some folks put up a review after some hard use.

Re: Spyderco Consumer Announcement
This is a real bummer. Currently the best vendors are selling for 45% off MSRP. Now if the minimum is 40% this essentially means that all Spydercos have gone up for 5%. Not a good move. Not happy at all.

I'm bummed to hear about the sharp pointy handle as well. It's one of the things that i dislike about the Rubicon. Thank you for the thread guys. Very helpful.

Re: Civilian 2 Wish List - what would be today's perfect Civilian?
Well, Sal said he has been planning it for a few years, but just hasn't gotten around to it yet. You can see Sal's quote in the very first post of the thread. So, I guess that it is not "just a dream", but an unfinished plan. I have a feeling that strong interest and good ideas from this ...

Some of the comments on this thread almost sound like this is a for certain thing. This is still just a dream right?

Re: SpyderPac - not completely impressed
I have three of the large spyderpacs and two of them broke due to a knot in the dowel. I had some Delrin lying around that was the same diameter and was able to make two new dowels. It wont ever break now :D

I was pretty bummed when i saw the price of the Mamba. I might not be able to get one
Maybe SS liners, rather than Ti, would have been a better choice to help keep the cost down a bit?

Re: Tighe
I only carry tip-up. I tend to glaze over any design that i cannot make tip-up (military, etc). The Tighe looks really nice. I would snag one if it was tip-up. There are plenty of Spydercos that i can snag. Missing a few due to tip-down is no huge loss :D

Re: buying spyderco in turkey side
Yes, Cool Hand Luke. A classic film, and one that's about almost nothing, which is a lost art. We need the whole world to hang in the balance to care anymore (Interstellar). That other one is from a movie called Pootie Tang, which is a totally ridiculous and rather obscure movie that you shouldn't ...

Re: What is the "HOLY GRAIL" of Spyderco knives?
For me, it's the Kris. No other knife has eluded me so. Somehow even after buying and paying for a new one, it has still never materialized in my awaiting hands. :( I am so glad you brought up the Kris. I have been looking for this one as well. Now i am going to head over to the sprint thread and b...

Re: Would spyderco ever have a fake factory second in their store?
On a side note, this is a reason I wouldn't flip seconds. This is the main reason that I don't sell my knives, period. I'd tell the buyer to pound sand. ^-- This. Then again, he could have those new "Real Spyderco CPM-S30v test strips" they sell on Amazon. :) I have only seen these for VG...
