I LOVE VG-10, it's probably my second favorite steel of all time, just behind well done Elmax. Don't get me wrong, I'll buy knives in any high end stainless, but VG-10, Elmax, and H1 are my personal favorites, and I prize them most highly.

I don't mind pinned knives from Spyderco, they hold up well most of the time. The only problem I ever had was the salts, where the pin would loosen with use. I'm also somewhat baffled by the construction of my Centofante memory, it has some sort of screw or bolt with 2 holes in it, spaced perfectly ...

What's on my wishlist?

1. Hungarian Ethnic.

2. Domino.

3. Battle Station.

4. Large sized Kiwi.

Bonus item that wasn't in this thread: The Blue Nishijin and Damascus Stretch sprint. I preordered mine already

Navaja, I've put off buying one long enough.

Combo edges, carbon steel blades, knives that look like they would hurt to hold.

On the other hand, if Spyderco made a right hand chisel ground knife, I would be ON that.

It's like the Vallottan and the Navaja have been breeding, I HAVE to have that knife!

I've never ordered a Starmate in part because of the finish issues. See, I don't have the equipment or skills to mod a knife myself in most cases. I also can't send my knives to Golden because I live in upstate NY and if I send them to Spyderco, I probably won't get them back. So yeah, I need to be ...

I happen to prefer the saber grind, if only because I've found them to hold an edge longer than an FFG blade. Don't get me wrong, I LIKE flat grinds, but the saber grind is just a personal preference for me.
