Instead if putting pressure in the lock, adjust your fingers to go to the scales instead during opening, then relax your hand and let it come into a firm grip :) It's always good to know where your fingers are when handling a sharp knife ;) :) I can open it by grabbing only the scales but it is tot...

The PPT happens to be the one and only knife I've ever handled that I can not open one handed because I put pressure on the lock and it binds when trying to open it one handed. :( Other than that..... it's a great knife..... I guess.

I think it's interesting how much people on this forum distrust other people on this forum. Everyone is so sure there will be dishonesty and negativity. That speaks loudly. I belong to many other forums and they sell and buy without any animosity whatsoever so it can be done. It wouldn't be in the b...

Spyderco is much more of a collectors brand than any other knife company and people would be buying used from each other rather than new knives. I think it would be a horrible blow to Spyderco's new knife sales.

I found the PPT to naturally hug my hip bone when carried iwb. It almost feels custom made for my bones. The lanyard really helps get to it much quicker since it carries so deep.

Thank you. I was not aware of that. I had not considered the lack of washers. Marks or no marks, this Caly 3.5 is a winner for me.

Caly 3.5 blade scraping liners?

I just received a new Caly 3.5 and my first impression before opening the blade was that they must have sent me a Caly 3 instead of a 3.5 because the knife looks quite small when closed. I was surprise at how small it seems in relation to the blade size. It is really a perfect size for edc and while...

Just curious ....... What do you like about it that makes it better than your Sage? I've been wondering about the Caly 3 but it seems like basically a Sage without a liner lock.

I've had a few pair of Corcoran 1525 boots and they all seem to be half a size larger than my regular shoe size. I wear a size 10.5 U.S. and my Corcorans fit perfectly at 10 U.S. I suggest you buy half a size smaller than your regular shoe size and purchase from an online store that allows easy retu...

I've had the same experience as Evil D. I am a big fan of boots and quality of leather so Rocky boots don't do it for me. I've tried several pair of hikers and work boots and they just don't fit well and seem like some kind of low end Walmart cast off. I too have a pair of Redwing 607 boots that are...

The Delica is too small for my needs but it is always interesting to see a new version of a classic. I usually end up purchasing one after all is said and done.

Yes. I don't think my training would have let her walk away without being severely manhandled.

I think that if something is not selling, it is overpriced. But if it's selling, it's not overpriced. The Sage series is selling. What I'm willing to pay for certain knives is another story altogether.

I have a Vallotton but I don't consider that a tanto whatsoever. If I'm not mistaken, there are "American Tantos" and "Japanese Tantos". I think the Japanese has a softer, more rounded curve to it than the American version. I have a couple. A Kershaw Brawler with a soft line curv...

I have heard this complaint from other Native owners. I have had one for about 2 years now and I have the same problem. Very stiff. I need two hands to close it comfortably. I used some Blue Lube oil at the pivot and it helped a little bit but it is no where near the smoothness of any other of my Sp...

After many years of owning knives, I have noticed that what type of lube you use makes no difference at all. I use Blue Lube because it was on sale at my local knife store but before that, I used household oil on pivot points once every 6-7 years. In my experience, it's only my new knives that are g...

The problem with buying anywhere on line is that everyone seems to have their own version of immaculate or new. Requesting detailed photos is a good idea when buying on Ebay. Even then, making sure the seller has a return policy is the only way I buy on line. It could be scratched up for many reason...
