Re: Speculative 2022 Discontinued List Discussion Thread

Brouwer is a great knife. Also 440c is fantastic when the heat treat is done right, which we know Spyderco has it nailed.

Can't believe the advocate is on the list. Best deal ever. The advocate is the total package and such a great blade.

Vote for a 3" spyderco air or "air"-esque blade. Long overdue.

Re: Gayle Bradley 2 pros and cons might buy one

To me it was not built to the same standard and felt inferior to the GB1. Tastes are subjective and you never know until you handle it. One loves it while the other dislikes it. Its all part of the search. It is the one GB iteration that I did not care for. Did not handle the advocate (yet), but wan...

Replaced the clip on it, but it has been my favorite spydie this year. Another vote for the Brouwer!

Re: Kapara???

I got mine the other day. It's pretty nice. I'm not sure I like it better than a good flipper, but it's nice. I am with you, a good flipper is very cool. But a flipper will by design almost never give you one of the main advantages of the Kapara: Utilizing the whole length of cutting edge on a flat...

The problem is not the knife lasting 10 years, but the temptation to buy another.

Re: EDC for Foodies- A lightweight SpydieChef

The best use for this knife is as a camping or backpacking knife. And it's a freaking awesome backpacking or camping knife. I'm going to rebuy one after my Slysz bowie developed a bit of rust on a recent 4-day adventure on the Appalachian Trail. No bueno. Everything else in H1 or LC200n is an eyeso...

Guys can we keep the price hike drama contained to the price hike drama thread? Think it's relevent due to the 18% price hike on this blade and the upcoming sprint(s) in the line up. This price increase as stated will take others out for the sprints where they may have signed up initially. Not dram...
