Sorry, I jumped in too quickly. You're right - I didn't notice the lack of a line cutter and the blade shape. I was looking at the Cutlery Shoppe catalog in bad light. It will be interesting to see what it turns out to be. Cutlery Shoppe called it a Diver but I know you are right on calling it a Pre...

It's the Diver and it's in the my 1989 Cutlery Shoppe catalog. Blade Length: 3.75; Length Open: 8.5; Weight: 7 oz. I couldn't find it in SpyderWiki.

VG-10 works great for me and is easy to sharpen either using or the SharpeMaker. I haven't really used the H1 Salt enough. I'd like to try some other steels and hope to get a Spyderco with super blue.

New 2013 UKPK

Does anyone know when the FFG UKPKs shown in the 2013 catalog will be coming out? I love my Caly 3 (G10, VG10) and I assume the FRN UKPK is like a light weight Caly 3 without the lock.

I have an Endura G-2 serrated that I got in 1992. It's been my heavy use knife for cardboard, gardening etc. even since. There is no blade play and it locks as tight as it did when I bought it. It doesn't even have liners, so I imagine my Endura 4 will go even longer.

New guy here, so first of all, hello Spyderco forum! I have a Delica which I bought in 1991. I carried it through Desert Storm and Desert Shield. Years later, among other knives, it again went into combat with me for Enduring Freedom, and, 3 Iraqi Freedom tours and 1 Afhanistan Campaign. I am getti...

Scorpion, I see your point. As mentioned above the Ladybug is great and have you ever thought of gifting a Ladybug to a girl. My niece loves her purple one.

Where are you located? I'm sure the Delica is completely acceptable at any university in the state of Florida. A "common pocketknife" is perfectly legal and that certainly includes anything 3" or less. At UF, I have never had a problem with a Delica clipped to my pocket. Same with FSU.

Nice video. I purchased my first generation Endura in the early 90's and it's still going strong. It is my primary lawn and garden knife.
