Yep. A new Ladybug, with sheepfoot blade, plain edge would be a perfect apple knife.

Thanks for the tips. I'll give it a go. It's pretty old & worn anyway, and it opens way too easy. Kind of scared to carry it because it opens so easy. Thanks again.

Best: Benchmade 9100 auto, worst: Microtech

The best user I've ever bought is a Benchmade 9100 Auto with Tanto Blade (154CM). I carried this on patrol in the States for about 5 years before going to Afghanistan for 5 years. It works in the sun, sand, dust, snow, no issues. I keep it clean & sharp, but I don't baby i...

Thanks for the note

Yes, it does look odd, but the same area of my PE G-10 Standard has a similar appearance under high magnification, so I'm inclined to think it's nothing to be alarmed about. At any rate, the Standard has been out of production for 14 years, so I doubt Spyderco would have any replacements lying arou...

Hi Sal, Thanks for the reply. I was wondering the same thing: is it a crack, or is this just a very un-even grind? I really don’t know. Today I borrowed a magnifying glass, and the knife was passed around to a handful of young Marines (with good eyes). Several 40+ year old retired cops (read: old ey...

Yes, I do get a bit of R&R. I'm in Afghanistan right now, in the J-Bad area, at the base of the Tora Boras. Been here 5-years. I'm a contractor, but I work with the Marines everyday. It's a living. I jump from kabul to Dubai, and then to Bangkok. It's 6 hours from Dubai to Bangkok, and then anot...

Hello everyone, this is my first post to this board, so please go easy on me. I'm still learning about Spydercos, although I have a few here on my desk. My best carry is the Dragonfly in H1, because I visit the t...
