Re: Do you actually EDC your favorite knife or...?

... I can appreciate something like this http://rs1235.pbsrc.com/albums/ff430/alan67d/2stagmiserywhipneck047.jpg?w=480&h=480&fit=clip But I also wonder if it's the contrast between the rust and the polish on the blade that makes it look good. By comparison, do you think this would look just...

Re: Do you actually EDC your favorite knife or...?

I don't rotate. I like the repetition of the same blade. I don't want to think I'm reaching for one knife only to be surprised that it wasn't what I expected. I have a beater for demo and hard use and a favorite, that gets "limited/restricted/don't lend to a coworker" use. My Leatherman C...

I flipped mine too. I plan to leave it like that, but I plan to use Vaseline next time as a lubricant.

Re: Mantra Bearing Race

I took mine apart and the SS shims were trashed. AWFUL! So I turned them over and tossed in a little lube, and the action is fine. For now anyway. I tightened to center and backed off a hair. It's completely smooth.

A few have come and gone along the way, but these have stayed. Mantra, Persistence, Techno, Lava Sprint, and Spyderench.

Re: Spyderco Mantra Titanium C202TI in pictures

Update... ... ...but that patina does not give strong enough protection from rust... this is what I've seen on the M4 blade after one sunny and sweaty day... http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160820/53123239ca7ecba3c106e6aef4730c0a.jpg ... Re: Mantra Bearing Race

I just received my Mantra 1. Same stuttered action. It flips ok, but it's definitely noticeable. That stinks. You should send it in. Seems like waiting for the next production run of these is the safe way to go. Whenever that is... I agree! He should send it in and let the Spyderco crew do their th...

Re: Mantra Bearing Race

Does both the Mantra and Mantra 2 have the bearings or is this a Mantra 2 ONLY problem?

Re: Blade show 2015 news thread

I was fortunate enough to handle the mini Para2 as well and I really like it. To me it seemed as though Sal put a Para2 in the dryer and shrunk it until it had a three inch blade. Everything else seemed just like the Para2 except it was a smaller scaled down version. I think people are gonna love t...

Re:

I do think the TC "Tom's Choice" bolsters are just bada$$ though!! Does the Stew's Blade cut out open sort of like an Emerson? Short story is yes and no. It is designed for disabled persons whom need to open their knife with only on hand / arm. These are named for the father-in-law of the...

Re:

No good for a lefty. You can't thumb deploy since it's blocked by the lock. The finger flick is uncomfortable since the cutout on the scale is so deep you hit your finger on the upper scale every time. Mine's going back on the market. After some time apart I convinced myself to get it again and giv...

USA 440C.

The first pic shows the USA, but it's hard to see cause God aimed the sun to spotlight it. :D
