Re: Tell Me About The Serrated Z-Cuts

That who in their right mind is me, I bought my new Z-cut at SMKW while on vacation in Sevierville. Had literally owned it for an hour and was making tomato & onion sandwiches for lunch for four kids and me and the wife. So being in a vacation home I felt pretty sure this new Z-cut was the best...

Re: Finally got a G-10 Manix

Just paid $100 OTD for a used G-10 Manix from a LGS, don’t look like it’s ever been carried or used, and screaming sharp! I like the stiff lock. Didn’t need it but couldn’t leave without it!

I’d definitely buy one!

No lightweight, Gray G-10, FFG Cru-wear with the small serrated scallops.

Couple of Saturday's back I handled both the 3.25" and 4" plain titanium Harsey folders, seriously well built/overbuilt knives!

I'd love to hear your comparison between this Spartan and your Hinderer....

Re: Tell Me About The Serrated Z-Cuts

It's an absolute tomato killer, but for firm red onions, not so much, just a little too thin and flimsy. I've never had an issue with onions, potatoes, carrots, whatever. I don't force the blade, I let the edge do the work. The Z goes through them like a light saber. Z-cuts will go thru anything bu...

I've got more than several, today it's my Blue FRN Leafjumper in serrated K390, it's a pretty incredible folder!

Re: New DLT Exclusive Dragonfly - Satin 20CV & zome red/black

Omg guys, I just posted about how I lost mine several months ago yesterday... This morning I dropped back in the bed with a bit more force than usual (after putting on socks) and something clattered down. I can't believe it, it was my missing dragonfly. Mind you, I have changed bedsheets, my kids h...

Re: Stok

I was gifted one this past Christmas, I opened it up, looked at it, smiled big and said thank you. Found it in my toolbox this past week, I had completely forgotten about it, don’t care much for it…at all, I certainly wouldn’t have bought it for myself.

I’ve never said this about a Spyderco before!

Re: Your favorite color combination?

Just on some knives I own… Knifeworks Forest Green. Not a sprint but my Foliage Green G-10 Dragonfly. Possibly my favorite color ever! I love my Gray G-10 diamond patterned Manix with Cru-wear, but I like the darker Gray G-10 on the Massad Ayoob sprint just a little more. Greens & Grays and I’m ...

Re: The Last Gun You Bought

Consider me wayyy late to the CZ party, this Shadow 2 makes me as happy with a new gun purchase as I’ve been in a very long time! The only problem I can see is I’ve gone through 2/3 a case of S&B ammo in a couple of weeks! This purchase came out of nowhere, a HK USP Expert 9mm was definitely on ...

Re: The Last Gun You Bought

I'd like a recommendation for a 3.5 to 4.5 inch 9mm. It must have a real safety ( I already have Glocks and don't consider this a real safety) . 10 round minimum with 15 preferred. Under $600. HK P30L V3, 4.45” barrel. Standard P30 V3, 3.85” barrel. These two first came to mind….then you said under...

Re: An ongoing mystery: Why still no ffg Manix 2 SE? (NOT meant as a complaint)

serrations are fragile and the Manix 2 is more of a tough knife. That has not been my experience. I've found that serrations cut some tough materials better than a plain edge. When the job is complete, the serrated edge is still suitable for continued use, while the plain edge can be disappointingl...

Spyderco needs to partner with BHQ to release a M4/Jade Street Beat.

That will open the floodgates.
Not 100% sold on Jade but a Street Beat in M4….yeah I’d buy one!

Re: WSJ - Best Chef's Knives

Production Shun’s you can get from Williams-Sonoma is what got me started, I have four of them and use them all, great knives. But….my Muneishi Santoku was a complete eye opener, love this knife! I do plan on having a custom made from a forum member who regularly frequents Glocktalk, I know I want 8...
