On another forum that sells knives, (bf), someone is/was selling a user Ladybug in H1 steel. They wrote and I quote, "I carried it multiple times in the ocean as back-up. The "1" on the H1 marking has rusted a little bit, which is normal with the salts." I didn't think H-1 steel ...

Try using Jasco professional strength epoxy and paint remover.
