Re: MAP pricing policy favors amazon. Bad for vendors (that are not Amazon) and consumers.
One last point. Every reputable knife dealer, whether internet only, B&M only, or a mix of both, has a phone number, and darn near all of them have a toll free number. I wonder how many of those who complain about MAP pricing have ever tried calling one or more dealers and seeing if it would be...

Re: Spyderco MSRP Increase for 2021?
Or - they could add more to the standard production knives to add more value for the money the customer spends. What do I mean by this? For the sake of discussion (and I hope I won't get tarred and feathered here) Benchmade, the direct competitor, offers better packaging with foam lined knife box t...

Re: Spyderco MSRP Increase for 2021?
Will this be the year that bento becomes the only “discount” vendor? If not this year, they have to be very close. Maybe they were just thinking ahead of the curve.

Re: Spyderco MSRP Increase for 2021?
I got the Knifecenter email also, about the annual price increase. I’m curious as to why it’s just Spyderco and Benchmade? Why not ZT or Kershaw also? Seems strange?

Re: 2020 Seconds Sale - BREAKING NEWS
Congrats all who scored. Miss seeing folks at the in person sale this year. I tried to grab a few items today, no luck. I think I had my cart with a few items in it about a dozen times or so, but every time I couldn't make it to the payment screen. Oh well, time to buy more ammo at stupid prices.

Re: S90V for foodprep?
I’ve used a South-fork and a Sprig in the kitchen for several years. I love them for great edge retention. However they both have spots of rust. We don’t machine wash ever, all by hand and we dry afterwards. They both still developed some rust spots.

Re: PRICING
I don’t care for MAP. It makes shopping for knives boring and mundane. But I’m not a vendor, so it doesn’t matter what I think.

Re: Change in price of Spydercos in 2020?
I never could wrap my head around MAP when it went into play with some of the major manufacturers and vendors. But I don’t run a knife business, so what do I know. The market is always the great equalizer. Folks will either stop buying or they will keep on as normal. It is interesting to me when som...

Re: Taxes on online knife purchase
So do these online vendors have to file a tax return in each state they ship to? Or does their home state get all the cheddar? If it’s the home state that gets the tax revenue, then I don’t see use tax going away, since that’s the way my state gets revenue from the deal? I’m confused

Re: Bento Box Customer Service...
It’s bound to happen with policy like BBS has. You gotta admit, they have kind of perfected the online sales thing. No risk, pass it to the manufacturer and customer. Low overhead, higher prices and higher margins than any competitors. I think they have their clientele figured out. Those exclusive r...

Re: Spyderco Embassy is back!
Just got my embassy today. Question to those out there with one. The action on mine feels off to me. When I open it with the button, the action feels extremely gritty and staged. I can audibly hear it go through multiple stages before it fires. If I depress the button slowly, I can see the blade inc...

Both are great. For edc, I’d pick the sage all day long. Great ergonomics and it’s more non knife person friendly.

Re: price increase?!
Eh, I don’t see this trend changing anytime soon. The way I see it, it just means more killer discontinued deals and discounts in Nov-Dec 2019. That’s about the only time I buy knives anymore. But my decline started during the MAP era. Price increase doesn’t bug me as much as the apple style price t...
