Re: Delica 4 in 2024?
The Delica better not ever have a compression lock!! That seems like a sin to even think of it that way. Absolutely! Para 3 is the perfect remedy for those sinful thoughts. Thinner stock – back lock :D Just for the sake of argument, the Watu had 2.5mm blade stock and a comp lock...so Spyderco is ab...

Re: Benchmade Knife Company
I used to be really into Benchmades - at least as much as Spyderco; I was probably 1:1 with purchases. When I first started getting into slightly nicer (not made in China or Pakistan) knives, I took a spread approach and bought an Endura, a Benchmade 710, a Kershaw Shallot, and a SOG Trident (back w...

Re: What does “ergonomic” mean to you?
I always wondered why people default to the drop shut method with lockbacks. its a dangerous method with a lot of models like the caly, the siren, cs voyager xl's, etc. to me this method is a lot safer. total manual control over the blade the whole time. works well with the caly 3: https://dubz.liv...

Re: gray G-10 CPM-Cruwear... delica?
Similar thoughts here. Would be happy to see it hit the market but probably not something I would pick up myself given the usual Seki G10 premium.spydergoat wrote: ↑Sun Jan 21, 2024 6:40 pmIt would be an awesome knife but likely above my price range like the S2XL was in this configuration

Re: Delica 4 in 2024?
I think the value question is a valid one. I've been sorting through the ”popular" and "most purchased" pages of a few of the large online retailers, refreshing my memory of what's available. The basic VG-10 Delica/Endela/Endura are MAP priced at $88/$92/$95 so I figured I'd keep it r...

Re: Could this Delica 4 be a fake?
Yeah, I am thinking the same here. But is this particular model so 'worthless' that one would gain noticeably from doing such a little scam? But again - isn't this particular model rather rare today? Possibly rare but not necessarily valuable. Plenty of other full SE saber grind Delicas out there e...

I had not heard of this model until your post - it looks fantastic! I think the silver colorway might be calling my nameLarry_Mott wrote: ↑Sun Jan 14, 2024 3:42 amI'm wearing my early birthday present to myself, the Bulova Jet Star 97B214 a stunning piece with a heavy 1973 vibe IMO

Per Bolster's survey early last year, there just aren't that many people using SE, even on this forum.

Re: Sharpmaker Elite Edition
Voted no. The current price ($89) already seems wild to me especially given the diamond or CBN rods aren't included. I used to gift a nice knife and the Sharpmaker together to folks new to quality cutlery (kitchen or pocket) but stopped doing that once the Sharpmaker got over ~$70 new. More complica...

Re: Full handle knife
Looking to try some new stuff for 2024. Love the delica platform because of the thin profile and love the PM2 because of the fuller handle but looking to try something for an everyday knife. Something with a full grip What do you find not "full" enough about the Delica and PM2 handles? No...

Re: Still wishing for a Chaparral XL / Endela "thin edition" / or something along that lines
Personally would prefer a thinner blade Endela rather than a larger Chaparral but would be strongly tempted by either.
I didn't care for the rest of the aesthetics of the Schempp Bowie but the 3.75" blade at 2.5mm stock thickness had me considering it repeatedly.
