Well if anyone wants to trade these orange handles for some red ones, I'm keen.

I hate to say it but the first thing I thought when I pulled it out of the box was "man that is one ugly shade of orange." It's like they took a nice shade of orange and made it look dusty, kinda brownish.

Didn't stop me from putting it in my pocket though!

Ordered. Pretty excited to make some handles. The sheath...not so much, but you've got to have a sheath.

I have seen them at a retailer. I've never ordered from them but they seem legit. More expensive than the eBay one though.

I was worried that the ~$40 eBay ones might be fakes. It's so hard to tell.

There's talk on BF that spyderco has produced another run of the blue tenacious.

Is that true?

A Hap 40 mule is probably a moot point since there's a series coming out, but I'd still like to have it in a mule to give it a good test without worrying about damaging a folder.

Sal, what kind of a cutter does this steel become? Is it the kind of thing that will cut tissue paper clean but is tough to cut cardboard with?

I hope that spyderco will produce a flipper in cheaper materials to bring the price point down. I'd love to have one, but can't afford the current offerings.

I'd like to buy every mule, but when money is tight I hold off for the standout steels. It sounds like the differences between this and other steels might be too subtle for me to notice, so I'll hold off given the price. That said, this looks like a very clean steel, and it'd be cool to see it used ...
