Really, really odd combo of high end handle and bottom of the barrel steel. I have no beef with 8CrMoV13 but it almost seems like Spyderco is afraid of the Tenacious competing with Golden models. The Tenacious is a good design, and there’s already an S35VN version.

If you’re used to an axis lock the Manix 2 lock is stiff. You need to use both thumb and forefinger to actuate it.

I have one. They’re very thin, flimsy knives. Which is what you want for slicing tomatoes… but they will not take a beating.

I don’t love the serrations in the kitchen. For anything of significant depth it steers in the cut.

This is a fact. Literally anyone can make a fixed blade. They are easier to get right and the fit/finish aspect is mostly just cosmetic.
