Re: A not-so-tough H1 experience..

I don’t know if this is a steel issue so much as a geometry issue. I’ve got flush cut nippers that go thru copper like nothing. They’re normal probably medium carbon steel, but they’re shaped for cutting metal. The serrations in particular I think focus too much force on tiny points. Nippers, cable ...

Re: Overturning of Knife Restrictions

I’m glad we are finally settling gun control once and for all in this thread. C’mon guys, there are lots of other places to argue politics out there.

Nice to see Knife Rights getting some press.

Re: Help me choose my first Spydie

Not the Manix unless you are wearing gloves. The aggressive jimping is too much for sustained use like that. Not the Stretch because of the closed back construction. All that blood and gunk getting in there. Gross. This comes up now and then and I just don’t understand why you’re not just using a fi...

Do you mean S110V and S30V? I thought the Endura has never been produced with S30V, but I might be mistaken.
They did a run of S30v Delicas... but I don't see any mention of Enduras.

Re: More Reverse-S blades?

The Meerkat reverse S is pretty nice.

I really like reverse S for some specific use cases. I started a design for a reverse S folder, need to get back to that.

Re: Spyderedged Sprint Runs? It's Time Has Come

Folders have an obvious advantage when it comes to packing more size in a more compact size and it's much easier and less dangerous to clip a folder than sheath a fixed blade. So I dunno, I have a lot less interest in SE fixed blades unless a really good hawkbill came out, like maybe if they did an...

Re: Spyderedged Sprint Runs? It's Time Has Come

I guess I think our SE options are pretty good. Para2 in SE is there, finally, and the Dragonfly, Native, Delica, Tenacious, Tasman Salt, Aqua Salt, and Caribbean cover a lot of ground. There are several models in production I’m ignoring too. I would like to see the Chaparral SE happen, and I suspec...

Re: Lock clicks after replacing manix 2 scales with aftermarket micarta

My guess is it’s related to the spring. Is the spring follower intact? They’re easy to break during assembly (ask me how I know).

Re: Serrated Native 5 question

I’m thinking it’ll cut way better than the Salt 2’s saber hollow grind. Oh, so I have a previous gen Native FRN serrated with the old hollow grind. I thought the 5 would be a definite improvement since it’s flat ground. I didn’t notice a difference. And to be honest I think I like the old style han...

I don’t, but I think it was one of those knives that just didn’t make sense at the price point. Didn’t see much about it here when it launched.

Re: Serrated Native 5 question

I had one for a few months. I did a whole thread on it. Overall I wasn’t a fan.

As far as sliciness... I think the SE Stretch that I have outperforms in this area. The Native is rather thick in my opinion. If you want slicy get something thinner. If there were an SE Chaparral it would be amazing.

Re: Question regarding blade steel vs. hardware

We don’t need to know what the other hardware is made of, all that matters is how rust proof it is.

Nobody makes LC200N or H1 screws.
