As my boss likes to reiterate "Amateurs talk tools, pros talk tactics". The tools are important, but not half as important as how they are used. For $500 An endura and $440 on even some basic training will serve better than an SNG.

Not that, must be the 'slow selling' 20th anniversary one mentioned.

?? Anniversary c01 worker

I came across an anniversary edition of the worker yesterday, and it really caught my eye. The thing is I know almost nothing about this particular edition. Loved everything about it but the price was relatively high. Any info on which anniversary it is, steel used, what they usually go for etc. wou...

I use a non-wax clean run chain oil for a number of reasons. Its highly temperature resistant, it doesn't attract dirt, it works well around salt, it doesn't shed, it penetrates well, and the lubricating/protecting film lasts a long time. I've also had good experience with CLP, which I always have a...

Good write up. The real proof for me is always on the paper, and I don't worry too much about what works for other people.

Been away for a while, but this one peeked my interest. I'd love to see a FRN rescue style bladed :spyder: with a marlinspike and shackle key. As for the spike itself, I've found elliptical cross sections to be the easiest to work with.

Thanks for the response. I'm probably the only person ever to have handled a Gayle Bradley and not gotten along with its ergos, although I'd really be interested in more M4 offerings. It was using my Opinel 9 and Bushcraft over the weekend that reminded me of how much I like the characteristics of c...

O1 question

My Spydie Bushcraft has now seen a fair amount of use, and has developed quite the patina. I love the combination of edge retention, toughness and ease of sharpening the O1 steel offers. I was wondering if anyone else would like to see an outdoor oriented folder in O1? As far as I know only a handfu...

I find the concept of an orange military amusing. Sort of like a bright pink Hummer, or a candy-striped A-10 Thunderbolt. When one considers that 90% of the job is not tactical, and even when it is the thing will likely spend most of its time in pocket (unlike a hummer or A-10 :D ), then it starts ...

I fix the problem by not caring :) . Same easy way to fix discoloration, burrs, and any other aesthetic-only flaws. Then it's just an amazing cutting tool with top shelf materials for way less money than it should be. I tend to feel the same way, because all of my knives are users. I might be sligh...

Although the clear frn does little for me, I'd love to see some translucent blues or greens either in g10/g11 or frn. As long as the quality is still there, why not go for some look-cool factor.

Online orders gripe.

This might sound nutty, but I`m not into wasting paper/trees. Is there a way to avoid getting the product guide, price list, baliyo add etc. When making second, third...(twentieth?) orders from spyderco.com in the same year?
