Re: ATR is back!

I really like this new ATR, and am very glad to see they kept the handle holes, cobra hood, and blade grind. I was worried it would get the G-10 Persian treatment. But this G-10 ATR retains all the things that made the original special, while adding G-10 and improving the pocket clip.

Re: SHOT Show 2016 Videos

Wow, I'm really liking the ATR! Glad to see they kept the cobra hood, handle holes, and original blade grind. Keeping what identifies it as an ATR, but giving G-10 traction and a more user friendly pocket clip. I'll be getting one for sure!

Re: Fairly comprehensive list of Spyderos in movies, tv shows, etc

Yeah, I thought it was probably a BRG, ZDP-189.
This was an outtake and deleted scene episode that aired earlier this week.

Re: Fairly comprehensive list of Spyderos in movies, tv shows, etc

Just saw this on an episode of Expedition Unknown. Looks like a Delica clipped to Josh Gates' belt loop. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a361/gbelleh/51AD28AA-D944-4274-94BA-C8312B7F3D01_zpsyryyviyy.jpg http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a361/gbelleh/0742F9F9-479A-4A75-881A-2BA230F5394F_zpsuw6qeccq...

Yeah. I'll continue to update the "complete collection" thread as I can. Hopefully the Positron will be added soon. Thanks again.

Thanks everyone. It's been a good day, except that my present to myself (a new Positron) is still on backorder and hasn't even shipped yet.

Thanks again! :D

I would imagine the Schempp Bowie would be more useful overall.

Re: Update with pics:Costly Amazon Mistake for PM2?

I've owned about 15 or so Para 2s. They are all slightly different in lock engagement and smoothness. Most of the time, any blade play can be improved with a little adjustment. So far, I haven't gotten a really sticky lock Para 2. But I've had a couple sticky compression locks in other models.

Based on the pictures, it doesn't look fake to me. But I can't say whether it's new or used.

Re: Question about PITS

Mine was a little stiff when new, but loosened up nicely with a bit of use, and can even be middle finger flicked open now (if done just right). I have the non-anodized version, and was concerned about scratches at first, but now I actually like the look of it with some wear and scratches, like a hi...

Re: Rule 9

To clarify, I don't actually sleep with stuff clipped to my PJs. But working from home, I often wear pajama pants well into the day, and I still need to be able to carry all the essential stuff.

Yeah, I always keep a knife and flashlight clipped to my pajama pants. Leaving the house I usually have at least 2 knives, 2 guns, and 2 flashlights (among other stuff).

Re: "Is this Authentic" Theme?

I was once new to this hobby. The first Spyderco I bought was from Amazon simply because I had a gift card, and needed a new pocket knife. It never occurred to me that I might get a fake Spyderco. This forum seems like a reasonable place to come for help. Let's be sure to welcome these people with r...
