I enjoy having a place to go to learn about new knives. The group who are members of this forum are a great bunch of people. While I don't post as often as i should, I read most of what is put up on the forums. I've lost count of how many new bits of information I've obtained from this forum. You sh...

looking for a Hiro interframe..
Hello all, A long time ago, when I used to get my great Ironstone catalogs, I once received a sheet of sale items from Ironstone. It contained a couple of folding knives marked "Hiro" which were abalone interframe folding knives. There were two sizes, one about 2.25" long and a bigger...

Bone Jess Horn - serial number?
Hello all,
Where is the number placed on this limited edition knife? I have a bone handled PLAIN EDGE, and have looked at it pretty closely, but cannot see the number. I thought all of these have a number on them? Please let me know if I'm right or wrong about the number thing.
Thank you all.

Hello Sal, I sent you an e-mail saying most of this, plus a little more.... I think if you are able to find an early small blue catalog you will find it had a picture of the C27 Jess Horn, and, maybe if my memory is working, it also showed a Civilian. I wish I still could find my copies to be sure. ...

any Spydie Autos?
Hello, I'm handicapped, and normally carry an auto opening folding knife. These are the type of knife I find easiest to open. Now, the Spyderco hole does help a little, but if you saw what I have to use as hands, you'd understand why I prefer an auto. Has Spyderxo ever made an auto opening version o...

Hello, I've had good results using a leather belt in a small belt sander, like 1X30 cheap one from any hardware store. I use fine rouge on the belt and lightly wipe the blade across the moving belt with the blade edge pointing DOWN. Otherwise you'll just cut the belt in half VERY quickly. Be gentle ...

old catalog available?
Hello all, I used to have one of the small Spyderco catalogs, the type you could, and still can, pick up at a dealer's counter. I still have a few, but I seem to have lost the oldest ones. I want to get one or more of the ones showing discontinued knives. I want to get the pages for the C27 Jess Hor...
