well said, carlos! but here is where the subjectiveness comes in. for me, i don't mind if its a little harder to resharpen. i carry a doublestuff on me 24/7 and have bench stones and a 204 at home and carry a 204 in my truck. always ready to sharpen a knife. it relaxs me. also, ease of cleanup is no...

man, there is gonna be some different answers here!. i think this is such a subjective subject.for me, like yourself sal, it starts with the edge.after all, that is what a knife is for for me,is to cut.it must have a superb cutting edge and be able to hold same.this means it must be of good blade st...

i am somewhat suprised to see people so presumptive here as to assume what i know and don't know.i tend to cut alot of the heavy duty handcuff type plastic ties at work. i like using the spydie tool blade, but i find the edge is more subject to edge deformation than an ats blade [that is ats 34 or 5...

obviously, i was obviously having trouble, along with others, posting last night. to DL; why settle for a "fairly good steel" in an excellent tool by an excellent company? i understand keeping costs down, ease of manufacture, etc...BUT...if they offer a replacement blade at some point in a...

the knife would have to be really something in order for me to buy it if it carries tip-up. i hate that. i almost always carry tip down.the only exception i ever make is my sebenza.

different steel for spyderench?

is there a possibility of replacement blades being offered in steels other than 440? i would be willing to pay a premium to get a steel i prefered more. anyone else want to chime in here?
