The Chief is very nice. I love these special versions. I'm tempted by the s90v and cf.

I don't think it will be hard to get. Higher cost and a larger sized knife will dampen popularity.

Just buy a knife in H-1 and you won't have to worry about corrosion.

Nice pic! They do look great and I imagine even better in video and in person. The fat carbon on the SMKW exclusives just doesn't look as good to me. I actually prefer how that looks in photos compared to real life where you see how shimmery it is. Maybe I'm weird. The marbled CF that Spyderco uses ...

If it's not a huge run I think Spyderco may have success with this. I remember when the Bombshell came out I was skeptical. That one was a Flashbatch so maybe the perceived scarcity added to its desirability.
Hard to imagine they'll do more than one run of this.

Just oversaturation for now. Also Fradon version is a higher cost and Cutlery Shoppe version is ugly.

The front of the spine on the Stovepipe with the flat head/pry bar and crazy wide profile is unappealing to me. Will probably sell out quickly.

I love the ergos on the Mantras and the ti scales feel good. Flipping action isn't the best.

Very nice scales. Spyderco always uses good quality cf, micarta, etc. I think given the price that it'll be stock for weeks at least.

Way too much is made of flippers especially these days. If you look at resale on some recent PM2 releases you'll see. What I think is going on is that there's a ceiling. When you get around up $200, there's just not a lot of room to jack the price. That's what I've observed anyway with the SMKW fat ...

Just hope that the rate of price gains moderates or Spyderco will be out of business. You can't sustain 10% average annual price increases. Yes I know part of that was due to MAP adjustment. Can you imagine in 7 years a standard Millie selling for $400+?
