I bought my BG-42 Millie for 280 from SFO late last year. Last one they had. Let me just clarify so you can understand it from someone whos paid the price.....It was worth every penny. Id do it again for 300 if I had to, and the people bidding on E-Bay know that too, hence the 250-280 prices shes be...

Did you round it off? It can be caused by either let tip sliding off stone or concentrated the very tip too much. If it's only a little bit you can file down the spine to make it sharp again. Yeah, its just a tad rounded, but definately not pointy anymore. A file, there we go, why didnt i think of ...

Thanks for the reply vincent. My tip is just a little less than pointy though, not so much broken. Im afraid the belt sander is gonna do too much, but I'll keep it in mind as its a more viable option as opposed to sending it in to the Mainland. Kinda hoping i could try to hand correct it using the S...

Para Tip Resto
Greetings Forumites and Forumistas, After my latest touch up sesh with my D2 Para and the Sharpmaker, I realized that over the course of time ive managed to lose the perfect point at the tip of my blade. Without using powertools, does anyone here have a method to bringing it back using the Sharpmake...

I live on Oahu...Are you stopping in at HNL Airport first then flying to Kauai? Or do you have a direct flight? If you are comming in to Honolulu (HNL) First, I know a great store to pick up Spyderco's about a 30 minute drive away from the airport. As far as I know, when I was in Kauai, I didnt know...

For what its worth, bolsters are more of an adornment IMHO. Tactical tools are more or less utilitarian in nature and tend to lean more towards the less is more idea. Bolsters add weight, additional fastners/adhesives, and bling to a knife (to the best of my limited knowledge). Maybe it could be don...

Were knuts, no doubt about that, but alot of market minded realists hang out here too, so a Katana is prolly the last thing we'd expect from spyderco IMHO. Those blades were mostly used for Killing, not much Utility. Again, IMHO, thats not really the image we want to project. On the other hand, ther...

I think that a lot of the responses here have been less than welcome. Even if his post might be over dramatizing the issue, give the guy a break-it's up to him whether or not he keeps the knife, and he's perfectly entitled to his opinion. No need to completely alienate him from the community. I thi...

If you follow the instructions for the Sharpmaker, its not likely that you will reuin your sage. I was very skeptical of getting my knives back to lazer sharp, after getting some experience on my sharpmaker I am glad to report that not only do i get it back to lazer sharp, I can do it consistantly. ...

So far, we just know that they have designed the new para with better ergos, as far as i can recall. The para you are thinking of buying is an excelent knife. If you do decide to wait, you can compare it to the para 2 specs and see which one you like better. I know that even after the new para 2 is ...
