The Chinook makes no excuses for what it is. An overbuilt, in your face heavy duty ergonomically superior folder, with one helluva curved blade to boot. There is no middle of the road here. Your either gonna love it, or hate it. As you might of guessed I love mine, and by the sound of it you'll love...

Ahhh...that factory edge...
Hi All,
I've always loved that slightly "toothy" factory sharpened edge. My problem is that I've never been able to replicate it with my sharpening skills..or lack of...
Just how are the blades sharpened at the factory, I'd love to know what they use.

Yes, Good folding knives are expensive here, but Spyderco are generally not too expensive... Basically think MSRP converted to NZD (currently NZD$1.00 = USD$0.54 ) so a standard Endura 4 retails here for about NZD120.00. - 140.00. There isnt enough competiton between stores here to get prices lower ...

Cheers Guy's I wouldn't have had to ask the question if a PE Manix was available, I suppose I'm mainly concerned about the combo edge of the Manix limiting slicing capabilities . I'll still be using the Caly Jr for delicate work, the Bm grip/ Native Se as my beaters and the box cutter for any situat...

A familiar dilemma??
Hi all, I sure a lot of you here have had to make this decision at some point in time. The Military or a Manix CE? I work in the Film/TV industry, my day can involve anything from carpet laying to food prep to bush clearing and everything in between. While at work I carry on me a Caly Jr, a BM Gript...
