Exactly how I feel as well. I don't mind the lanyard holes although the only one I've ever used is on my Jester. The only time I've ever had one be a problem is on the Military 2 with clip placement.

I'm glad I sew this thread because I have a bit of an annoyance with my new Military 2. I absolutely love the Compression Lock and ability to carry tip-up but I hate the clip not being centered on the scale (while in tip-up position) and it's because of the huge and IMO useless lanyard hole. I really want one of the black PM2 Magnacut models but absolutely hate coated blades. I pre-ordered a Para 3 LW Magnacut for now to tide me over but I really want to see the Salt PM2 with an uncoated blade.

I installed the white ZrO2 bearing as they were the first ones to arrive today and it completely fixed the problem. Okay one more question. I ordered two different kinds of balls and I'm curious which ones would be better. Si3N4 Silicon Nitride ZrO2 Zirconium Oxide (these were about twice as much as the Si3N4 ones) I know either of these will probably wear a track in the blade over time so maybe I'm better off us...

It's easy to replace the ball if that's the problem. Grab a 2mm ceramic ball, poke the existing one out, press the new one in (even a cheap screw clamp will work to press it in). Thank you.
