We don't have terribly restrictive laws here in Oregon I'd say. I don't care for some of the restrictions that do exist - like the ones on spring-assisted opening knives or balisongs - but I also don't personally have a desire to carry those kind of knives. Thanks for the responses. There isn't really any issue with the action of my Native, it was just a thought that crossed my mind because I do not own any other knives where the blade rides directly on the scale material. I'm going to just oil it like any other knife.
